Re: was Jesus Christ just a CopyCat Savior Myth
Please summarize and state your conclusions rather than quote so extensively. "With Footnotes" is not only an excellent Christian music album, it's also a good way to document the bases for your conclusions and preserve readability. I think, though, that A2E would not have gotten along wit...

Here in the US, LiveAction has done a lot of work exposing PP falsehoods and willingness to cover up sex crimes.

Re: Why did God use the Bible?
I'm not clear what the issue is. Is the question why the Creator would communicate with intelligent beings He created? Is the question why God would choose an enduring form so that His communication could be transmitted across numerous generations? Is the question why God chose to communicate so muc...

Re: The Gospels
Thadeyus, if you re-read the NT a bit more carefully, you see there are quite a few more than twelve persons identified as Apostles. Also, Mark and Luke were not Apostles, AFAIK, though they may have been, and add to the number of Apostles I'm aware of. But where does the NT say that every Apostle s...

Re: documents seemingly contrary to beliefs
u777, it is more usual for the one making or insinuating such a claim to be the one presenting evidence directly supporting that claim, not demanding proof that the claim isn't true. The three of us - me, myself and I - had a discussion as to whether you, u777, are a pigment of our imagination, but ...

Re: There are clear iq and physical differences between race
Maybe God is more a fan of gymnastics, where East Asians often do rather well. Or maybe God isn't a sports fan at all? Of course, if you look at height differences from a survival of the fittest perspective, one would think the large populations of East Asians would suggest that height and survival ...

So, DD ("Dear Daughter") will start her trip home this coming Friday (BTW, she's on the other side of the International Dateline from the US). She'll have a few days to reduce her jet-lag, and then joins us for a family vacation.

Re: Always be thankful?
1 Thessalonians 5:18: "in everything give thanks". I realize it's an English translation, but it says "in", not "for". Seriously, who could give thanks for having cancer or some other personal disaster (or something evil, as Jac points out). But we can be thankful that ...

Re: Why are "clean" animals not extinct?
Who says he had to track down any creature? Genesis 10:6 says, "two of every sort shall come unto thee." Yet another example of not having the minimal respect for the text to actually learn what it says. Or minimal awareness that folks here might do (or have done) what he would not. Per t...

Re: Why are "clean" animals not extinct?
A basic rule for interpreting just about any lengthy document or book - be it the US Constitution or the Bible or Fun With **** And Jane - is to take any part of it in context . The context for the story of Noah is Genesis chapters 6,7,8, and 9. If DTT lacked the respect for the Bible to spend the 1...

DD's trip has been fruitful, including a possible part-time job helping teach English to children learning English. Besides the $$, this could bring her into contact with people there. She will be returning to the US in a couple weeks, so please pray that she gets things set up for her eventual move...
