Re: Prayers needed for bippy123
bippy, be aware of the side effects of steroids, if you have to use them for a while. They are wonderful for what they do - I used them for a week or two after brain surgery, to prevent brain swelling inside my skull. They also affect your personality and sleep. As my pharmacist told us, you can bec...

Re: There is no Trinity
So Krystyna linked to an article in the thread Krystyna started this AM. I went to the home page for that article, Reformation.org . All I will say at this point is that I am not equal to describing its contents, and if I tried, B.W., Rick, et al, might think I was wildly exaggerating or less than s...

Re: There is no Trinity
Krystyna, you can also find many/most (all?) of the writings B.W. quoted in the Christian Classics Ethereal Library. That way you can go to the (translated) source and read the quotes in context.

Re: Sochi 2014 Olympics - most costly ever
Sochi was a winter resort during the Stalin era of the USSR ... for its mild winter weather . Choosing Sochi for a Winter Olympics was a, "What were they thinking?!" grade decision. 5-day weather forecasts are pretty good, and, of course, 10-100 year climate forecasts must be believed. But...

I don't see that option in this board's User Control Panel, Rick.

Question About Avatars
I would like to add an avatar so folks think of me as something other than a pastel blue square. I have a picture that is probably suitable - I use it on other discussion sites - but the jpg is on my computer. The board SW here only give the options of selecting an avatar from an onsite library or f...

Re: Do u think end of days is here
I would answer UT's original question with an emphatic, "Maybe, and maybe not." Scripture informs Christian believers: about the natures of God and man; man's need for salvation; what is right and wrong; what we should be as believers, individually and as a church; Jesus will return. Beyon...

Re: The started of Christianity
Looking over the first article you linked, I could not help thinking that it was a lot of energy devoted to an insignificant purpose. Some of its arguments were also less that impressive: Christ never called himself a Christian, Christ never called his followers Christians. The apostles never called...

Re: Arizona Buisnesses May Be Able to Ban LBGT Customers
And what about states like OR, CO, and NM, where, evidently, forcing Christian photographers, bakers, and caterers to participate in same-sex "weddings" evidently makes most citizens in the states happy? Is this, therefore, just and right?
Like I said ... no easy answers.

Re: Arizona Buisnesses May Be Able to Ban LBGT Customers
It can be hazy. I would define it as closely as possible as whatever creates the greatest amount of happiness for the greatest amount of people, and preventing certain parties from benefiting at the malicious expense of others. I think you need to qualify that, so as to preclude things such as Jim ...
