Re: My New Supermarket
I'm pretty sure it was real up to and including, " Before the spray comes on, a far-off peal of thunder is heard". Several stores here do that.

Re: Robby Dawkins.
This discussion is sounding familiar. Does the church, the human persons therein, have the authority in themselves to heal, work miracles, etc.? Obviously not. However, as 1 Corinthians 12-14 and Peter in Acts 2 (verse 39?, typing in haste and don't have the book of Acts open in a browser tab) made ...

Re: The Impossibility Of Perfect God
To speak of God as perfect is a word-game trap. If God were perfect, then any act - e.g. creating anything - would make God other than perfect by virtue of changing from what was perfect. In Genesis God does not describe the things He created as perfect. God called each thing "good". Simil...

Re: Question about yalad
Well, you may be able to learn something about how that word is used with BibleStudyTools.com . Find the relevant passage in either the King James Version or New American Standard, turn on Strong's numbers, click on the particular word, and then get a list of every verse in which the word is used. B...

Re: What if the Quran was different?
Dealing with reality, what is , is difficult enough. What-if hypotheticals like this are so far from reality that, "Yes, I will have fries with my burger," is almost the most appropriate response. My personal opinion is that every well-grounded Christian should read the Qur'an at least onc...

I couldn't get back here after Lent...I thought you guys had banned me. FL We did! Who reinstated you? Actually, I thought you gave up G&S for Arbor Day. :wheelchair: You thought FL decided to make like a tree and leaf? Actually Pete, Since FL is a pilot, I thought he was going to make like a p...

Re: Please explain the trinity
Why would you want to worship something you completely understand? I don't even understand myself. The idea that the Creator is vastly greater than a creature can understand does not trouble me. Creatures who say they can have a god in their own image that is too small. The Scriptures identify thre...

Welcome back! If you all were the victim of a massive DDOS attack, you were not alone. The owner at RO - which was also down, though not as long - is interested in comparing notes with Admins/owner here, with a possible goal of tracking down the source of this mess. There was no attack and no mess....

Re: Proof for the Biblical Exodus
This author either has no idea what the word "proof" means, or is an expert in the field of "incredibly hyperbolic article titles." All this guy has done is draw some really weak links between a couple texts that don't even remotely describe Exodus and apparently that proves Exo...

Mehhhh ... whether it's atheists whose antics and unpleasantnesses make atheism look ugly or their Phelpsian and other unpleasant miscellaneous opposite analogs-in-ugliness, I think sincere ugliness more probable. I lean away from conspiracy-theory explanations of things - where evidence is not plen...

There's no source that I would expect to have more objective non-biased info on the matter than a source called "Creation Ministries". :P Shooting the messenger doesn't make the message less true, Seraph. These Piltdownian proto-cetaceans were no more whales than I am. Were they found in ...
