Re: 666 and RFID chips

Um...seriously? Some one thinks that some how 'chipping' will thence allow brain control...?

Sorry, colour me very incredulous....But then, that is kind of normal for me. ;)

Very much cheers to all. :)

Re: Christians leaving their faith

Look up hylomorphism. * Nods * Okay...had a quick squiz through google. So, if I'm reading the quick Wiki article right, ...by that the soul is what makes living things alive.... Interesting. So...what happens when some one loses part of themselves? An accident victim who's tragically lost a limb? ...

Re: Christians leaving their faith

Being more serious, I'm saying, doesn't it feel like love is more of a choice that we make, beyond something evolutionary? Not that those "urges" aren't there. But there's more to it all than that. If so, I think that's a clue that there's more to us than matter and energy(a soul). And I ...

Re: Christians leaving their faith

It's very nice to talk with you Thaydeus. Rather than put us through a lot of back and forth, can I offer you what I think is an interesting video on these topics? http://givemeananswer.org/?p=2539 Personally, I really like the website and their videos. An interesting web site. Thank you for the li...

:) That's okay. When the questions come thick and fast sometimes I agree it's hard to keep things straight.

Much cheers to all

Re: The Evidence for God

When an argument is dismissed solely on the grounds that it doesn't work for you . Really? That's your defense? It doesn't work for you? Well, it works for me so there, problem solved. :shakehead: :) Well, I'm glad for you then. Also, t'is good that we've come to an understanding. Very much cheers ...

Re: The Evidence for God

:) No, it's an honest, simple and direct answer from myself to some one's honest, simple and direct question. I don't doubt your sincerity one bit. I simply marvel at the level of ignorance atheism has reached, and this is a general comment, not directed at you per se. Um...okay..... And the ignora...

Re: Christians leaving their faith

Wow Thadeyus, I have many questions for a guy like you. Mostly because I come from a similar position, but the more I learn, I've taken a hard lean towards Christianity. But first I want to answer your question…sorry, but I’ll have to do so with a bunch of questions! :) Nice to meet yourself as wel...

Re: The Evidence for God

Understand, this is just one argument in the landscape of arguments for/against God's existence... But, would you agree that in the landscape of arguments for/against God that the Cosmological Argument is +1 for Theism? Just interested to know where your head is at on this particular argument. Re: The Evidence for God

No it doesn't. That's a myth by people who haven't done any more than read popular expositions of quantum physics and haven't talked to anyone with any real knowledge about it. But even if that were true (and again, it is not), that wouldn't challenge P1, because "popping out of nothing" ...

Re: The Evidence for God

* Waves to Kurieuo * Um...just a point (And I've only listened to the first very few minute s of your link) BUT....in physics it is known that particles can and do literally pop into and out of nothing all the time. In fact Hawking showed that even the reat gravity traps called Black-holes effective...

Re: Christians leaving their faith

Proves beyond all reasonable doubt by being dishonest about your state of honesty... In other words, loss of credibility, by admitting to lying, how can anyone really trust a nihilist to tell the truth? You see, the truth of the matter is that human beings are dishonest as well as honest and most o...
