Re: Christians rejecting the Old Testament

I responded specifically to everything without personal attacks.... This is your independent decision in response.... If you can't handle a different view with grace and personal focus without bias, then you are lacking understanding of what it means to moderate. Nothing I said was personal, you ar...

Re: Christians rejecting the Old Testament

Rev, I'm gonna cut you a little slack because you're new here. You really need to understand the OEC interpretation before you start spouting off at the mouth. Read this article, and you'll see some of what we're talking about: http://www.godandscience.org/youngearth/six_days_of_creation.html Rick,...

Re: Evidence?

Creation the way everything was made and how everything works together, down to the smallest thing like atoms, Cells, and DNA. How far the earth is from the sun, the big bang( what started that explosion when nothing was here something just does not create itself . Look around outside how beautiful...

Re: Is evolution a hard science?

Fruit Flies: http://www.icr.org/article/5532/ The tests performed mean absolutely nothing nada if they have failed to understand how flawed and unrelated the tests are. They in no way demonstrate the scope and scale needed to evolve something, they are essentially performing meaningless rather igno...

Re: What would God say if he came here and why.

Just a quick note if you could keep your posts combined in a single reply it would make it easier to follow and reply to them. If you don't mind. That's a fallacious argument Rev. Our claim is NOT that everything that exists must have a cause. If this were what we are arguing then you'd be well wit...

Re: Christians rejecting the Old Testament

I don't think that we can get "perfection" from "In God's IMAGE" as it is written in Genesis. I don't think that the notion that Adam was perfect is anywhere to be found in Genesis. Exactly, it still doesn't help the point.... You can't create something imperfectly as a perfect ...

Re: Christians rejecting the Old Testament

I say if there was an Adam he wasn't made perfect, therefore he sinned too. The potential to sin by logic was always in Adam. You say he was made "in God's image" therefore he was perfect and yet he sinned. So my question is, can God sin too then? does God have the free will to sin? if Ad...

Re: Christians rejecting the Old Testament

Neo, as long as you've been a member here, you still don't understand the position set forth by Rich, and Hugh Ross regarding Yom? There are plenty of instances in scripture where it is undeniable that yom means something other than a 24 hour period. See this: http://www.oldearth.org/word_study_yom...

Re: Willingly rejecting salvation

I want you to imagine an expression of humanity that through such a realization, was capable of demonstrated extreme abundance where minds would no longer be focused upon possessions or quantity, but instead would gravitate towards extreme quality. Would involve theft.... In order to achieve your q...

Re: Christians rejecting the Old Testament

So man can decide to do ANYTHING it wants and God must accept it - He SHOULD accept it? No consequences for evil actions? So it doesn't matter whether one chooses to do good or unimaginable evil - whatever PATH one chooses should be ok with God. The puny, lowly creature of very limited understandin...

Re: Francis collins confirms macroevolution

I think to many that do not see "macroevolution" the issue is when does a species become a NEW species? That humans and chimps share so much of the same DNA is a fact. WHY they do is the issue. What's the issue beyond one's inability to comprehend? Where the mind fails many times is in no...

Re: Christians rejecting the Old Testament

I have a brilliant idea, if there isn't a single path in existence that doesn't lead to God, it becomes utterly impossible to deny God.... It is only possible to deny yourself, doesn't such an intelligent focus direct us individually to where we are doing so? A God who creates an arena where 'he' ca...
