Re: Christians rejecting the Old Testament

Rev, I'm gonna cut you a little slack because you're new here. You really need to understand the OEC interpretation before you start spouting off at the mouth. Read this article, and you'll see some of what we're talking about: http://www.godandscience.org/youngearth/six_days_of_creation.html Rick,...

Re: What would God say if he came here and why.

Let me explain something about the world of logic..... You don't define infinity, infinity does not contain the finite tangible points by which we give everything else definition.... When it lacks these defining points, that's when we know it's infinite. All fields of science and logic do not place...

Re: What would God say if he came here and why.

Rev, please follow me for a second. There is no controversy in the scientific community, irrespective of one's theological views, that space-time is a product of the singularity. Whether or not that singularity is unique or there is an infinite singularities is another matter. What is for certain i...

Re: What would God say if he came here and why.

If your pal Byblos was actually concerned with logic, he would objectively criticize your post by saying that your claim supplies a baseless premise to which the universe is compared to, not the other way around.

Re: What would God say if he came here and why.

It's a very simple concept folks, by showing how the universe can be a perpetual state within an infinite arena.... IT DOESN'T REQUIRE A CREATOR! Therefore, you can NOT prove the existence of a creator based on science, end of story.... No more argument, it's moot, it's pointless, And? So instead o...

Re: What would God say if he came here and why.

Word games and avoidance tactics might work for a little while, but it's only a matter of time before you find yourself digging a massive hole for yourself.... In a discussion of infinity, that's a big hole!

Let's share knowledge rather than try and stifle it!

Re: What would God say if he came here and why.

But that would be scientifically wrong since a void is not only NOT nothing (a void can be measured, how exactly do you measure nothing), and more importantly a void is not infinite. If you want to assert that a void or time is infinite the burden of proof is upon you to demonstrate how. First, mea...

Re: What would God say if he came here and why.

Shifting the obvious burden of proof does not prove anything but avoidance!

Re: Willingly rejecting salvation

I think you'd have to be pretty nutty to believe salvation was definitely possible and reject it. The point is that people that reject the offer of salvation do NOT believe they require salvation. And this is a very sane way of seeing it, so lets play it out! In an infinite number of lives in this ...

Re: What would God say if he came here and why.

Let me explain simple logic too you..... Now who's being rude and condescending? I was (and still is) hoping for an intelligent conversation. Logic isn't rude or condescending, it would be unintelligent to believe otherwise. Lets wipe it all clean down to a void/nothingness.... That's your first er...
