Oh PL, have you ever realized that the God you are creating with your double predestination is an evil one? If God is good then why create someone explicitly for damnation? He wouldn't.

B.W., A true Christian would never become a Muslim and if they did - then they were never saved, nor had the Holy Spirit. They would violate a spiritual principle found in Matthew 12: 25 Not so. A Christian can lose faith. The strongest Christian (faith-wise) is still able to fall from the faith. Wh...

AHHHHH! I kind of sat back and watched this discussion to see what each of you believes. I was hoping atleast one of you would be right. Unfortunently neither are correct. First: You can't just make a blanket statement. You have to show HOW I've read too much into this. Now, I laid out very clearly ...

I must disagree on this. When Scripture speaks of inherit the kingdom of heaven he means that will we become a part of heaven ie we will be saved. This ties into basic doctrine. Yes, we are all liars, fornicators, etc. However, Jesus Christ died on the Cross to save us from our sins. Our sins are pa...

On this I must disagree with you. Jesus tells us clearly many times that He is the only way to heaven. The only way to heaven is through belief in HIm. Ephesian 2:8-9 tells us we are saved by grace THROUGH FAITH. We must have faith in order to be saved. If that faith is gone then the grace is gone. ...

I agree with everything you said except where you said that if someone tries to do good works then they reject the free gift. Even if someone tries to earn a gift, the gift of salvation is still given. It is heretical to teach that one must do good works to earn salvation for that is clearly wrong, ...

Are those who fall from faith still saved?
This question is posed to Jac:
I have read in your posts you believe that even if a Christian falls from the faith and becomes, say, Muslim he or she is still saved. Is this correct? If so, why?

Perhaps we do now that I look at it again. My question to Jac is: Do you agree that the act of conversion is the doing of the Holy Spirit and man can only do passive work. That passive work being the acceptance of the grace. Do you agree that grace is resistable? Do you agree that why some are saved...

Its all fine and dandy if people want to fast and etc. However, one does NOT have to. It is by faith that we are saved, not by works. If one feels moved to fast then by all means to so. However, to some people fasting just isn't a very pious act. To me, fasting just doesn't bring me closer to Christ...

I did manage to find an explanation however I still don't understand quite what its trying to say. The third way is based on possibility and necessity. We find that some things can either exist or not exist, for we find them springing up and then disappearing, thus sometimes existing and sometimes n...

Help with understanding a proof of God
I'm reading an apologetics book and in it there's 20 proofs for the existence of God. The 3rd proof however I cannot understand. It almost seems like it's saying matter can disapper which it can't. Any help would be appreciated: 1. We notice around us things that come into being and go out of being....
