Re: Time for reflection

I created sticky thread for questions on the Bible. Cool. That's the one I felt was actually important. The other thing is minor (okay, both are minor, but that one is "minor-er") RickD, can you please define how you are using cult? We may have different definitions. Are you using ...

Aberrant: ab·er·rant ˈabərənt,əˈber-/Submit adjective departing from an accepted standard. I'm not saying the definition isn't accurate. 1Over said one of our goals was to inviting, since "Aberrant" is also used to describe eldritch abominations in different medias here in the US (especia...

Re: Giving YOUR Money!

I really liked the commercial. How did you find it? A friend sent it to me. Keep in mind that it is only a commercial, a fairy tale. In all probability, the poor woman and her daughter would never collect enough money for the girl's education. And, some scum human traficker would take the girl and ...

Re: Embracing vulnerability

I wish I had more to say Mel, but the only think I can say is that its nice to hear that other people have the exact same problem. I came to this forum originally because I was having issues and I didn't want to talk to people in RL about them. Of course I don't have any excuses or a bad home life t...

Re: Time for reflection

I think this forum is great, when I first came here I was having a lot of issues with my faith, spirituality, etc. Now I have a far less issues and people I've talked to here have helped me out a lot. I've only ever had one problem here and it was minor. I am very thankful for this place being here....

Re: Oregon School Shooting

So if Jesus wanted us to defend ourselves with violence, how did we end up with so many martyrs. I think it is dangerous to proof text the Bible to suit your ideology, pulling one passage out to back your claim is just ridicules, if we look at the bigger picture of what Jesus was saying I think he ...

Re: Oregon School Shooting

What I found quite interesting is how conservative right-wing Christians use the bible and quote it exhaustingly to promote their ideals against abortion and homosexuality (I am not in agreeance on either) but when it comes to fire-arms they are often quoted as saying it is their God-given right, l...

Re: A Question about Adam and Eve

So, Vivistd, are you saying its a waste of time to obsess over the sex lives of people who died thousands of years ago? I can't think of anything that would be more important.

Re: Hyper Grace

I disagree with part of your defined definition. I've read a lot by Paul Ellis on his site (he's a retired Ultragrace pastor who keeps up a blog call escapetoreality) and watched two biblestudies from an Ultragrace church located in California. For starters -Ultragrace is divided some what on confes...

Hey, just posting to let you know I'm thinking about you and your mom. It's pretty much my first thought each time I've logged on over the past day or so. Whenever you feel like you can update us, but please don't rush.
