Re: Questions on Faith
Would you, the reader, like to be His own or demand that you can’t believe in a God who holds people truly accountable for their sin – that sin that would corrupt heaven? Demanding one’s own ways over God’s? What manner of three fold judgment awaits you? Like I said, I'm working through these slowl...

Re: Questions on Faith
As for the Old Covenant it is written in Romans 7 that by it, we learn about sin, and it defines the fruit of sin. That needed to come first or how could God really judge with equity? There needed a New Covenant of Grace that deals a death blow to sin and its ruler opening the door of reconciliatio...

Re: Experiences with God?
I have a list of experiences really, admittedly a short one, though none exactly like what you were describing. One comes close, but I'm not bringing it up just yet. There is a big one I never really told anyone about because it sounds hard to believe, bordering on mysticism, or even a psychotic bre...

Lake Cumberland area. Sort of. It depends on where you draw the lines, but most people would call it that.DRDS wrote:Nice, what portion of the state do you live in? Surely it's not southeast, it must be up north near ohio or out west possibly.

Re: What should I do with this pain I have for my lost famil
I also live in Kentucky and I have a very different experience. I know a lot of great people who are Christians. Some of the happiest, most relaxed, easy-going, and caring people I know are Christians. Some of them also have the most of interesting personalities as well. (I also know people of other...

Re: What should I do with this pain I have for my lost famil
First, it is a good thing you feel pain. It doesn't feel good, but it shows you are Christ-like in a least this regard. I feel passing fear for people at time, but its passing. I really am not bothered by it as much as you are. You care a lot, and I really respect that. Secondly, I don't know. I wis...

Questions on Faith
Hello to everyone on the forum. As some of you can tell from my username and my time on here, I mostly came here for help. I’ve been having issues with my religion, so I am here to try and settle the problems with my faith once and for all. So, instead of creating several threads, with one per issue...

Re: Christie, what did he know and when he know it?
Personally, I don't think it even matters if he knew or not. These were people he knew his entire life working under him. I think I would honestly prefer someone corrupt over that level of incompetence.

Re: Temptation
Just prayed. Question, has he been to a doctor? He might have something medically wrong. There are a lot of things that can cause weight gain, low-energy, and kill a libido that doctors generally don't notice. Maybe talk him into going to getting a check up? (I could be wrong, I really don't have th...

Re: The Eternal Sonship of Christ
Oldman, let me try to describe what I *THINK* your beliefs are. Where I'm wrong, please correct me:
"The Son existed as a part of the Father, either as a piece or of the same substance, until He became a separate being."
Is this even close to accurate?

Re: Shroud of Turin
I'm not sure if anyone has talked about it on here before, but in the Bible it describes the shroud as being several pieces, including having a separate handkerchief to wrap his head in.
So, how is the Shroud a single piece?
