Re: Denial of the Supernatural aspects of God and the demonic

Hiya B.W. ! Thanks for Posting this. I think it's fairly obvious to most of us here that the majority of Humanity are under the 'curse of the law'. That is, people are mostly driven by egotistical desires and worldly pursuits. They don't have the 'right target' so to speak. So people end up straying...

Re: Yeah, Mr. Hawking passed away, and...

@hamster Pray to God to give you wisdom. Well, Bible tells us to be example to others as we live our daily life. So you live your daily life bravely with all the burdens along the way and people watch you. You never know what this can cause in others. Leave it to God. Amd if you are to approach peo...

As opposed to a rational disbelief, as he claims, it looks instead as if Hawking had an emotional, angry reasoning behind his rejection of God. But to echo K on building relationship and conversations that might be used by God to bring people to faith - or at least to sow some seeds that might one ...

Re: Is Gambling a Sin ?

Try playing Christ-Bet.

'Gambling the good old Christian way'

Step 1. Give the money to the poor.
Step 2. $7K out of your pocket can become an equivalent of $70K to a poor person.
Step 3. Reap what you sow :-)

It's believed to have a 100% odds on winning too !

Do you reckon God also elects/predestines certain individuals for various tasks and so overrides free will in specific cases ? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What do we make of this post Philip ? Re: Sounds like Al was not a big fan of God.

Really, LittleHamster, why does this matter? Einstein made brilliant discoveries, but he wasn't right about everything, even in his chosen field. In the debates he had with Niels Bohr regarding quantum physics, not only did many of his ideas lose out to Bohr's, many of his thought experiments meant...

Should read "my main point is that salvation is available to EVERYONE - except those who blaspheme against the Holy Spirit"

ie. almost EVERYONE ?

Relax everyone. I am just thinking out aloud in this thread about possible explanations of why some people don't make it. Just because some things are not mentioned in scripture, doesn't make it false or true. But it's always good to compare other beliefs with the bible (nice one Philip !!!!x1000). ...

Philip !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! X1000 (v) is not reincarnation. It is referring to the multiple incarnations of the spirit-soul. Human beings do not reincarnate in this example, however they do inherit the karma of their souls past incarnations. (viii) Service ! Not as in self-servic...

Re: Sounds like Al was not a big fan of God.

I'm guessing he got the same fate as Hawking. Let's speculate on why such brilliant scientists may not receive salvation: (i) They put more faith in their scientific discoveries rather than in Jesus Christ and therefore do not get called upon for salvation or (ii) They are called upon by God and the...
