Re: Where did our Big Bang come from?
The Big Bang came from between the left and right ears of an ignorant mortal. This is one of the most profoundly ignorant things I've ever read. Georges Lemaitre is one of the most intelligent men in human history and it's an incredible insult to describe such a man as ignorant. His writings are be...

Re: Where did our Big Bang come from?
That is quite an assertion - care to back that up with some evidence? Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. Besides do you realise what you saying? How can you have proof of non-existence in the first place - by definition there should be no proof which ironically lends itself to evidence...

Re: Where did our Big Bang come from?
Do you think man's greatest possible sin is pretending to speak for God? The size of one's ego to make such a presumption!Starhunter wrote:The Big Bang came from between the left and right ears of an ignorant mortal.

Where did our Big Bang come from?
There is no proof for the existence of non-existence, so existence has always existed. That said, our Big Bang is the the result of a star collapsing to black hole in another dimension. And now there's a theory backing it up: Our universe at home within a larger universe? So suggests physicist's wor...

Re: Why do you believe in god?
So out an infinite number of these events, one of them is this one. Thats quite the god, to know the spin of every electron at all times and places. Can God have a thought so complex that even she can't understand it? Of course he can. An omnipotent God is every possibility at once. "God is in...

Re: Why do you believe in god?
Very basic question and concurrently a very complex one. My personal reason? -I believe in a god because of the apparent mathematically ordered and precise composition present in molecular/atomic/-to a certain extent- quantum physics, the absolutely insane (1 quintillionth) precision that had to be...

Human beings exist so God can experience the thrill of having limitations.Kurieuo wrote:Imagine how entertaining it must be though just watching on?
Oh, I just found out what the purpose of life is: God's entertainment.

Re: Eternal Security...
I'm not trying to discourage anyone from believing what they believe is right but someone told me a story of an atheist that said if he believed others were going to hell if they were not saved then he would be screaming at the top of his lungs for people to get saved but cense we are not doing tha...

The Life and Morals of Jesus of Nazareth
One of our founding fathers Thomas Jefferson created a very strange book titled, "The Life and Morals of Jesus of Nazareth". Jefferson wanted to get to the heart of Jesus's teachings and philosophy. He wanted to create a Bible that did not have references to miracles, supernatural, and the...

Re: Eternal Security...
Anyways there is a question you could ask someone if you want to know if they have put their trust in Christ. If you were to die tonight and had to stand before God, what would you say to Him when He asks you why He should let you into heaven? Most of the nonbelievers would answer something along t...

Re: Yet *Another* Beginningless-Universe Model . . .
AGAIN, I want to insist that I do not think the universe is beginningless. I think it has a true beginning in time. I think the paper I presented is wrong. The link Hana posted offers some interesting points. But my point is that we are putting ourselves in a very precarious situation when we base ...

Re: Yet *Another* Beginningless-Universe Model . . .
That is a sad illusion  The idea that something is an illusion is also an illusion. I will prove to you God exists. God is just a word. The word God exists in our written and spoken language. No one denies the existence of the word God. If a tree falls down in the forest does it make a noi...

Re: How God Creates
Jesus said "I am the beginning and the ending." This is one of my favorite sayings of Jesus. To the scientist, zero never equals infinity. To the mystic, zero equals infinity. The idea of zero, that is nothingness, and the idea of infinity, that is everything are almost identical in the s...

Re: How God Creates
No sequential, discursive thought there. Just unlimited, unmitigated, absolute freedom--in a single act of knowing. Hope that wasn't too opaque! :) In my way of thinking you were perfectly crystal clear. I sometimes hear the argument that an omniscient God is one that is immoral misses the point of...
