Re: The symbol of the cross vs the symbol of the ankh
Well only the craziest most fringe people who happen to have a PHD(they usually don't) entertain these comparative religion theories. It's ridiculous. the ankh has nothing to do with Christianity and the cross has nothing to with Ancient Egypt, seeing as Ancient Egypt did not have crucification at t...

Re: Twenty arguments tor the existence of God
I think without God atheists should follow atheism to its logical conclusion, the endless circle of nihilism and purposelessness. As for your question I'm not going to list twenty arguments but the first one I found really hit the target was the argument based on morality. This really made me think ...

Re: Prophecies that haven't been fulfilled yet
I know....it's just such a big leap of faith. Do I want to spend the rest of my life believing a Jewish man was crucified and resurrected? Nothing has ever happened before like that in history....nothing. I don't know any supernatural. I've never seen miracles or a dead man rising for any matter. Am...

Re: Prophecies that haven't been fulfilled yet
I'm pretty much talking about prophecies where Yahweh goes on a rant about how he is going to utterly destroy people and stuff like that, sort of like the prophecies like Egypt being a desolate wasteland for 40 years and Damascus never being rebuilt. The Christian response to the failed Egyptian pro...

Prophecies that haven't been fulfilled yet
Hey does anyone know of a list with prophecies from the Old and New Testament that have not been fulfilled yet? Thanks

The Gap Theory is my favorite theory right now. It's very satisfying theologically. Also, Ken Ham is really annoying. :/

Re: Shroud of Turin
Are they doing any testing on the shroud right now to prove its authenticity? I think it would be cool if the evidence came out that it was authentic so that it would be the last chance for unbelievers to consider the resurrection before Jesus finally says, "Alright there is your proof, make a ...

Re: Everything Meaningless?
Do you guys think Solomon is in hell? Also I think life is absolutely meaningless in my point of view. Everything I do/accomplish in this life ultimately doesn't mean anything if my consciousness...me myself, is totally and utterly obliterated at my moment of death. Is that selfish? Yeah it is but I...

Re: Adam has to be real.
Lol speaking of God visibly striking down someone with lightning. I would do anything to actually see God's cloud above the temple and the tabernacle back in the OT. It'd be legit to see him physically....without dying.

Re: Adam has to be real.
Thanks guys for some of the comments. I just love science and don't know how to interpret Genesis at all. I'm going to look at those links you guys gave me and I'll comment back. This song pretty much sums up my doubt at times, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QBsA2ETp7JA

Adam has to be real.
Guys I'm not going to lie I'm starting to crave to the world. It feels like there is so much evidence against the world-wide flood and a before flood world. I can't take on theistic evolution though because Jesus Christ, his genealogy can be traced all the way back to Adam. I honestly don't know wha...
