Yes! that is a nice anthem! A traditional march, which is what an anthem should be.

As for the lyrics, they express an ideal.

Re: God defend New Zealand - National Anthem

Well kiwis are not generally happy about forking out for a new flag :econfused: Well, your present flag is indistinguishable from Oz's flag for most people. I saw a news story where Canadians were asked to identify the NZ flag and most said it was Australia's. Americans asked the same question had ...

Re: God defend New Zealand - National Anthem

Sorry, don't like the NZ anthem. I prefer (classical) marches, like the US anthem, or the old USSR's anthem or God Save the Queen . Newer anthems, like Waltzing Matilda and the Maori song served here remind me too much of the quirky anthems of African countries. I hope you do a better job of choosin...

Re: Adam and Eve

That's the time line... only I would say all the earth had plants and trees on the third day while God made a special protected place in Eden. The text doesn't say that. The text is quite clear when it says that ...no shrub or plant had yet appeared on the earth...» yet there was a garden planted i...

Re: Adam and Eve

Yet in Genesis 2 it also states that not a shrub had appeared or plant. There is no contradiction between the account of the creation of man in Genesis 1 and Genesis 2. Plants were created on Day 3 and man was created on Day 6. If you look at Ge 2:8, you'll see that «...God had planted a garden in ...

Re: Please help me understand Jesus - the man

Rick told you, «It's not a physical relationship. It's a spiritual one.»

If you keep on insisting on a relationship where you get visions, hear Jesus audibly and get personal revelations, you are setting yourself up for a stint in the madhouse.

Re: The Band that played during the recent attack in France

Like the English, the French do not do a good job of teaching their citizens a second language. Or a third, or a fourth and so on.* In all likelyhood, the people at the concert didn't understand those putrid lyrics, so we can't say they glorified a death message. All we can say is that they liked ve...

Re: The Question Thread

The person of Adam and Eve? Are you saying they're one person? What kind of crazy Canadian are you? You must be French. y**== You and that crazoïd Maori are not following the rules! You are supposed to answer a question, THEN ask one. As for my answer, I based it on Ge 1:27 where God created man in...

The Bible implies it is man, in the person of Adam and Eve.

What does Genesis 30:37-43 illustrate?

Re: Paris Terrorist Attack This Evening

You guys need stricter border controls, especially at your northern border because that's where the trouble will likely come from. (Mexico only sends you illegal tomato pickers and construction workers and minor thugs.) Your border guards should also shamelessly engage in profiling. Racial and socio...

You have to answer the question before asking yours. You set this rule up yourself:

Yes, I'd be just as big a jerk as I was then because that is what God used to get me saved.

Is it OK for a Christian woman to spend her husband's money to get a boob job against his will?
