Re: Why Did The Creator Choose the Jews?

The Jews are not God's chosen people.. Those who believe in Christ are, those who have faith. Also, Abraham is a Hebrew, the bible says so. You are right, the Jews aren't God's chosen ones. The Israelites are. They are Abraham's descendants. Both of you are dead wrong: Cespinoza is confused between...

Re: Speaking in tongues.

I just re-read my post above and would like to clarify something: I don't think Silvertusk is the «Evil One» but when I re-read the post, that is what I seem to be saying. This is the idea I was trying to express: If people start falling down and twitching and howling like wolves during an evangelic...

Re: God and Omniscience??

I liked Silvertusk's & Kurieuo's answers to you and hope you will give them some consideration. I offer this new installment, tweeked towards Predestination vs. Free Will... I work as a truck driver. My employer has an agreement with Correctional Services to allow prisonners to work with me as h...

Re: Speaking in tongues.

I had another experience of charismatic prayer last night and again it really freaked me out. There was people falling over, grunting - almost howling, wailing and tongues. I felt very uncomfortable and had to leave Sounds like a scene from a horror movie! I was one of the organisers of the event. ...

Re: God and Omniscience??

It has suddenly dawned on my thick skull that your actually objecting to predestination vs. man's free will.

Am I correct?

As for your question:

Re: God and Omniscience??

But from the perspective of the football game it doesnt have the choice to change its outcome. A football game has no perspective in and of itself. Its made up of free actions yet is not free. Putting aside the fact that a football game has no perspective «itself,» how can some[body] have free acti...

Re: God and Omniscience??

which one of these is the real God?? I am God...I make known the end from the beginning, -Isaiah 46:9-10 In the above verses, as in many others throughout the Bible, God states His foreknowledge of that which is to happen. If God gives us free will as human being knowing what we will do then isnt t...

Re: Disasters

Hum i lied a little bit, i have read parts of the OT. I like some parts in it like psalms, Job, proverbs but for the others i found them violent. I have difficulty with God in OT. But i'm convince now, i have taught about it for a while and i 'll read it. If you read just parts here & there, yo...

Re: Disasters

I never read the OT so i'm in total darkness. I'll begin to read it to understand more, hopefully. If all you have read is the NT, you only have read ¼ of the Bible...maybe less.* By all means, read the OT. It is vitally important to your understanding of God's word. FL *I have this great ¼ key tha...

Re: Disasters

FL, if the tribes were not lost, then where is the tribe of Benjamin? Paul was a member of the tribe of Benjamin. (By the way, that tribe has Jerusalem one of its cities, see Joshua 18:28.) That tribe was around while the New Testament was being written. It was not «lost» and has never been «lost.»...

Re: Disasters

This is in error: Actually, the Jews were only part of the chosen ones. God chose all the Israelites, not just the Jews. For you are a people holy to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his people, his treasured possession Dt.7:6 ...

Travelling Multi-culturalism

A Rabbi, a Hindu and a lawyer are travelling across the country together in an old jalopy. Late one evening, they can't find a motel. So, they stop at a farm and ask the farmer if he can put them up for the night. The farmer says, "I only have two rooms, so one of you will have to sleep in the ...

Welcome back, FL. Where have you been? I've always been around...just had nothing to say. Sigh....nothing more than HOusehold science. And who knows what that course really meant. It is sad to see that science was not really a part of education. My guess is «Household Science» is what girls had to ...
