Did God want us to stay stupid and without a conscience?
Why didn't God want Adam & Eve to eat of the Tree of Knowledge so we could eventually evolve into Gods? Why the "Tree of Knowledge"? If it was just a test to see if A&E obeyed God then why not an Apple or a Fig tree? Would we be without sin if we had no knowledge of good or evil an...

Re: God's Ten Commandments? Still valid?
A pretentious narcissist (see Jeremiah 9:23) listed all the OT laws to insult me and to confuse others. The subject only concerns God's ten commandments. Moses' tablets must have been pretty heavy if they contained all the laws listed.

Re: God's Ten Commandments? Still valid?
"we're not sinners any more even though we sin" - ??? Can I continue murdering then? Rick, glad you finally noticed I am perfect and infallible. I'm intelligent too. That's why I don't need anyone to interpret God's words. God's commandments are plain enough for me. Also, I didn't change t...

Re: God's Ten Commandments? Still valid?
neo said "The law (God's Ten Commandments) is not only bad because it is not perfect, it is now irrelevant". Maybe you are correct. Only God will judge you after you die. I do not pay much heed to the opinions and interpretations of apostle Paul or any other human. We know nothing. Only Go...

Re: God's Ten Commandments? Still valid?
Jesus said “If ye love me keep my commandments” (John 14:15). After all this heated discussion I will answer my own question with a definite YES! If I fail then Jesus will forgive me if I have faith and love Him. Anyway, keeping Saturday holy and not murdering anyone will not be too onerous for me....

Re: God's Ten Commandments? Still valid?
In Matthew 5:17 Jesus reportedly said: "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them, but to fulfill them. For I tell you truly, until heaven and earth pass away, not a single jot, not a stroke of a pen, will disappear from the Law until eve...

Re: God's Ten Commandments? Still valid?
This board's (independent?) moderator states that God's Laws are only applicable to Jews? Just OT Jews? So this board's moderator says Christians are above God's Commandments and can safely ignore some of them? I will continue to try to comply with all that The Father and His Son said in the Bible -...

Re: God's Ten Commandments? Still valid?
warren631, Do you believe Jesus Christ is God? And no, I'm not asking if you if you believe Jesus Christ is the Father. No I don't believe Jesus is God. Jesus is the Son of God who was sent by God to save us from our sins if we believe in Him and are born again. Jesus is also the Word of God which ...

Re: God's Ten Commandments? Still valid?
Any good reasons why Christians ignore God's clear Commandments? Do Christians think God's Law is not that relative or important today? The Christian (new) Law does not abolish or devalue God's (old) Law. The seventh day (the Sabbath) is still Saturday on most calendars. Only men changed it for thei...

God's Ten Commandments? Still valid?
I am still seeking answers from Christians about why many professed Christians sin against God's Commandments: IMHO: I consider the ten commandments God's law and are therefore very important and to ignore His Laws is a grave sin against our Lord God. 1. The first and most important commandment clea...

Re: What is His name?
I have been knocking all my life but the door of understanding seems forever closed for me. Or maybe I can't understand the truth. Or the truth seems too easy and simple. Maybe I should have the mind of a child instead of an engineer?

Re: Understanding the Trinity
IMHO: The biblical references given do not support the opinion of this video's fast talking 'trinity salesman'. Does it really matter anyway? There is only one God (commandment #1). I pray to God via, or in the name of, Lord Jesus. God is the supreme creator, Jesus is the intermediary, messenger and...

Re: What is His name?
My original question seems to have gotten off track in this thread. Who is 'The Word'? Doesn't this mean Gods 'intelligence'? God used intelligence to create the universe. I consider the ten commandments God's law and are therefor very important. The first and most important commandment clearly stat...
