Re: Downloading stuff from internet...

I personally have stopped downloading music from online and watching movies and shows online (with the exception of a few websites that have contracts allowing them to stream film, such as IMDb) when I started raising these same questions. The problem was not so much that I saw it as stealing as it ...

I feel I must agree there, but I could definitely go for some classical from time to time. I really like Bach and am a pretty big fan of Holst's Planets Suite.

Re: Thoughts on this article

Thanks. Like I said, I wasn't especially worried about it. I was just curious about what opinions there were.

Thoughts on this article

The author clearly has an anti-Christian agenda, but there are a few interesting things here that can't be explained away by that. Ultimately the article probably won't affect my faith too much,if at all, but I was curious for some opinions.

Re: Interacting with the world and actions vs. faith

Byblos is correct, salvation has nothing to do with works. Grace and works don't mix (Romans 11) This, along with what Fürstentum Liechtenstein said about goals, is pretty much what I thought. But our works do affect the rewards we will receive in heaven. And back to the first Post: AndrewK, I used...

Interacting with the world and actions vs. faith

This is probably a variation of a question that's been asked before (or perhaps this is actually 2 questions), but I thought I'd try anyway. Now, I'm sure that we can all agree that the basis of the Christian faith is salvation through belief in the sacrifice of Christ. This obviously involves a foc...

The cities in the Book of Joshua

I recently came across some information that I haven't been able to find an answer for. This is that the cities listed in the second part of the Book of Joshua, those listed as the boundaries for the territories of the tribes, are in fact the boundaries from the time of Josiah. From what I've read, ...
