question about pets and cremation

First off, I'm not one of those people who care more for animals than humans, but having said that, I do in fact care for my pets. Just thought I should preface this by saying that in case someone feels they should question my priorities. Also, this may be in the wrong forum, but I did a few searche...

Two prayer requests

Hello everyone, I have two prayer requests. Firstly, I've developed a problem with my throat. I've noticed a small lump near it, and shortly after noticing it, I've developed a cough that won't seem to go away. Along with the cough, I find that I'm having to clear my throat all the time. The area on...

Ryo, I don't have the same battle as you, but I do know what's like to be tired of battling/feelings of just giving up, in general, and I also know what it's like to be double-minded. The combination of those two things are not fun, to say the least. If there's anything I can do in that regard, let ...

Well, I found this post on another Christian forum and it concerns me a bit. And I was wondering if anyone had any input as it relates to my situation? I would have to agree with BEP on that one. There are a couple of key phrases in those verses that let you know exactly what it is that is being tal...

But it just seems like my only motivation to have God in my life is an intellectual fear of Hell. That's what I'm trying to say. I don't care about God Himself, it seems... I just care about my salvation. There's no real repentance in my heart now, because I've been struggling with this for so long....

What I mean by fleshly stubbornness is my mind is being too stubborn to repent from my current sins that I've slid into. I don't even think I'm saved. I did ask Jesus into my heart a year ago, but now that I think of it, I asked Him into my heart before I really knew too much about Him. All I reall...

Please pray

I've been struggling with my faith in the general sense. There's doubts and fleshly stubbornness on my part. I need God's help. Please pray for me. Thank you.

Keep in mind, the fact that God is all-knowing. In The Case for Faith by Lee Strobel, the argument is made that God sometimes kills people for the overall better of other people. Perhaps the people that God kills would have went on to inflict so much pain and torture to other thousands of other peop...

Update: Firstly, thank you FFC, and anyone else who prayed. I spoke to my friend for the first time in two weeks a couple of days ago and he's more faithful than ever now. In fact, after a long talk, he started helping me with some struggles I'm going through now too. Thank you very much to everyone...

Friend who's falling away...

Hello everyone. I have a friend who's been in a different state for a while and he says that somehow being away from home has drained most of his faith and he's starting to just not care about Christianity as a result (he's not reading his Bible, listening to his worship music, praying or anything)....

Ah yes. The doctor said it should get better with a few weeks of plenty of rest, plenty of water, and some Motrin. He said I "overworked" a bit too much and the stress got to me. He took my blood pressure and checked my pulse and all that, and everything seems fine now though. He wants to ...

I asked this question before, but I found out more to it...

Well some of you may remember my thread a couple of months back where I asked about John 12:37-39, basically asking if someone made the choice of will not to believe (resulting in them not being able to believe), does that mean they can never believe again? Well, I know people answered that question...

Update: My left arm felt numb earlier, and now my chest pains are back, and I've noticed that whenever the pain comes up, I also get a burning sensation in my left arm right by the inner-part of the elbow so I think it's related somehow. The rattling's gone, but the pain itself is back a little, and...

Simple logic tells us that every effect has a cause, and all I am trying to do is find out what the cause of "common sense" and the other reasoning tools that these people use is. Where did it come from? What caused it to be in the first place? So a simple I don't know will not suffice? I...
