We obviously take a different view. I've stated my view and the reasons for, you yours. There is more I could probably delve into given time and motivation, but I've spent as much time on the issue as I want to at this time, given other interests. Please don't take that as unwillingness to discuss t...

First, you need to chill Kerux. Second, you know nothing of catholicism..... Third, don't get offended if the truth is thrown back at you... I need to chill? What if you're wrong? Should others treat you the same way? People are free and welcome to treat me the same way I treat them. I'l do my best...

This [disagreement] must surely indicate to you that there are differing understandings regarding some meanings of what is written in Scripture. I am not as bold when it comes to the issue of transubstantiation. Yes, there are different understandings, but only one truth, and truth does not contrad...

You are very bold in proclaiming your personal view to be "the truth" even although other Christians would disagree. Would they disagree just as boldly? And if so, is their 'boldness' acceptable but mine isn't? you edited your comment after I posted my response. You had originally posted ...

So, truth is unknowable? "You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free." According to what you apparently think, and please correct me if I'm wrong, (according to your thinking or should we say According to Judah?) we can only know some truth, not most truth and especially not...

You have absolute free will within the confines of your personal ability. Really? Do slaves have "absolute free will?" Do dead things? Romans 5 6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Do the powerless have a choice? Romans 5: 14 Nevert...

.....or what made you have faith in God? Great to ask questions. "A wise man will listen and increase learning." I could sense God's dealings in my innermost being even when a young child. I just 'sensed' there was God despite contrary things in the world, like evil. But what drew me the ...

Re: Talking to Someone About Religion

I suppose I'm just wanting to find out how to explore Christianity further and determine if it's something I believe in or not. Should I find someone like a priest/preacher and ask them about things? Why not just read and study God's Word for yourself first, asking God to lead you into His truth? G...

Now I know exactly how you feel. Now that's all pure conjecture on my part Yep, sure is. Once again, a misuderstanding and speculation about what I'm thinking or feeling. I was replying to the previous post: "but there may be some Christians reading what we write that are deeply offended."...

I don't want to belabor this but no, the whole congregation wasn't a witness to the person in the front speaking in the same language as the person in the back. Unless everyone in the congregation could understand the language being spoken, then the best they could do was take the word of the person...
