Did Abraham commit murder?
I am wondering if somebody might clarify something for me that I read in the Bible. I was reading in the New Testament a passage whereby Jesus makes the statement that their 'father was a murderer from the start' some time back. As Abraham was the father of the Israelites is that who he was referrin...

Re: Pro-choice murders 47 million by 2005.
Pro-choice means giving people an option without enforcing your own will on them. Many pro-choice people (like myself) would never consider abortion as an option. At the same time I would never enforce my own moral view on someone else, but allow them the freedom of being able to choose. I would pr...

Firstly, if you are talking about the same survey I voted on the Democrats website, then to put bluntly it was the stupidest survey I have ever answered. The questions were so structured and rigged as to be pointless if you disagreed with their position (pro-abortion, anti-Christian, extremely misl...

Pro-choice murders 47 million by 2005.
I have been unable to down-load this link. Even so I think that many abortions is alarming. However even if I have not viewed it I still can not understand why nearly all of view pro-choice the way you do. Could any of you please tell me where you get the idea that pro-choice means that people suppo...

Australian Democrat survey on the church.
Recently the Australian Democrats conducted a survey regarding the Church, and it has opened up a pandora's box of controversy. Christians are crying foul because the results are now not going to be made public. However the reason the Democrats won't publish the results is because they were rigged i...

The 1st shall be last.
Hello everyone. As I understand it, it refers to something very spiritual. It means that those who place their own self interests above others first will be last to be considered in heaven. This refers to having material self-interests placed first, and spiritual understanding of others lacking. How...

Divorce and Remarriage
Thankyou everyone for your very reassuring comments. I still find that at the present time I am not able to forgive the person who did this to me, and at times I do have a lot of anger toward God. I know this is wrong and at times I feel so confused. I feel resentment at times because maybe there wa...

Christian Politics
After reading all these posts on this issue I realise just how little people actually know about the matter. This is not to condemn, nor criticize any of you. Far from it! In fact it shows me that those of us in the game are not relating to the constituents as they should be. I, myself after having ...

Introduce Yourself
Thankyou all for your welcome. I should actually tell you a bit more about myself. I actually lost my faith quite some time back and am now sort of looking a the christian belief again. My post in Divorce and Remarriage might help explain things. Anyway aside from that my main interests are politics...

Divorce and Remarriage
After reading all these posts on divorce and remarriage I thought I should relate something that happened to me. May be what I went through might sound a warning to others regarding this issue. Many years ago (about twenty), I fled from an extremely phycological and pysically abusive marrige to a wo...

Hello all,
I am Michelle from Australia. I am not what I would call a Christian, but I do believe that God exists. I came across this site while searching for information regarding the Christian philosophy.
I hope that we enjoy each others posts and look forward to getting a lot out of this site.
