johnnyboy08, are you sincerely seeking Christ or are you just having fun at our expense? I don't have fun discussing religion. I take it as serious business, as serious as you do FFC 8) I am seeking sincerely. I just never trust easy. It's so easy to be deceived, so hard to believe, and very simple...

... I fully believe that if hell is eternal punishment and someone down there realizes their mistake (which isn't the sin itself but the failue to recognize Jesus as savior), i don't see why God wouldn't let them out (or whatever). He's merciful. I may be wrong, but that's my opinion. And again, if...

No offense to your God or belief, but look at the characteristic of your God... He created something capable of imperfection that was of its nature. And for being the imperfect creature that it is, His creation goes to Hell. But He could've never did all of that. God could've never made man, but He ...

Thank you all. May I ask which versions of the Bible I should use? I have a New American Standard Bible at the moment, but a few of my Christian friends tell me to read the King James only. I flip through a few pages, but the English is SO old!

Gman, does it bother you to know that there are people burning in Hell? Can you sleep well enough? Does it make you uncomfortable to know that perhaps there are family members and close friends of yours down burning right now as we speak? Would you be happy for an eternity with a being that allowed ...

So God allowed a problem to exist so that He can give a solution? Why would He create man, capable of sin and being His enemies, then create a solution to a problem He allowed?

Johnny, we don't know.. It's up to God where they will go at the judgement, where he will reveal what we have sown in our hearts... The choice is ours though. God doesn't send anyone to hell... WE send ourselves to hell.. Doesn't that bother you? No really, how can you sleep or find peace knowing t...

"Why did God have to make it only to Jesus" Because Jesus, God's son, died for our sins. YOu asked about forgiving, you gave the example of forgiving your children for anything even if they did not ask for forgiveness. But it is also about justice. If my child stole apack of gum from the ...

I've read only the Book of Ecclesiastes, so that's my favorite so far... I've only started reading the Bible. Which one should I get into first? I tried to read from the book of Genesis, but so far, it's only been the flood and then the long lists of Adam and Eve's descendants

Thanks Gman. So exactly what are we suppose to do? Just confess? Isn't confessing a result of regret? Don't human beings all feel guilt/sorrow for their wrongdoings? Can I just interrupt for a sec? I don't think we are supposed to do anything except respond by belief to God's calling...that is if y...

Re: A truth, not merely a method

...And I have told you that, faith, and religion, is not a matter of win-or-lose. YES! That's exactly what I was thinking! But that's exactly what people do when it comes to Christianity; they say either Hell or Heaven. If that's not the most serious case of win-or-lose, than I don't know what is. ...

Yes he made the concept of love, but no it isn't His idea if we choose him or not.. I believe God is offering his love at a risk to himself... Sometimes his wins and sometimes he loses... Whatever the situation, we are free to choose whatever we want in this life... Even if He isn't a part of it.. ...

But I am sure that God is all knowing, no? If He knows we are regretful and can obviously see that we are all sinful creatures, but that Jesus died for us, then don't you think that we don't need confession? He is all knowing, but he still gives us our freedom (or free will)... And if we choose to ...
