Re: Presup Apologetics
Hey. All I'm doing is trying to be intellectually honest when I say stuff like that. Many (most?) Christians have doubts just like me. I'm only human and I think it's important to show that rather than pretend I'm enlightened with flawless irrefutable knowledge that nobody else has. I've been a Chr...

Re: Presup Apologetics
You cannot account for logic or reason. Simple. You have no rational foundations whatsoever to trust your logic and reason. This is the point. I have rock solid foundations. I can make sense of the world according to my worldview. According to yours you cannot make sense of the world you are living...

Re: Presup Apologetics
If there are underlying aspects of reality that are absolutely true, then those are accepted as brute fact, or presuppositions. In that same manner, you have two choices when entering any debate or argument, you either accept that God exists, or you don't, and you argue from whichever perspective. ...

Re: Presup Apologetics
I gave my thoughts on that in my previous post to Byblos, since he said the same thing. I'll respond to the sections that weren't in his post. However, arguing from the position that God does not exist You are not arguing from a position that God does not exist, you're starting with the default whi...

Re: Presup Apologetics
Seraph, can absolute truth be known or not? I think you can believe a truth that is in fact the absolute truth, but even if you do you have no way of knowing for sure that it is the absolute truth. You can only believe whether or not something is likely to be the absolute truth. Is that statement a...

Re: Presidential Election 2012
Even though Bush was no fiscal conservative, Obama has taken it to a new level. Also remember that we have had Democrat congress since 2007. (Picture) First, I don't understand why you changed Democratic to Democrat, when there is no grammatical reason to do so. This is often done by the right in A...

You have got to be kidding me. Two stimulus packages and a 3rd one on the way that will put our great grandchildren in debt is not enough? He prints money faster than the printers can churn them out. The effects of his (dire) fiscal policies will be felt for generations to come. The way I see it, t...
