I have been married to my wife for more than 30 years and it is so that I love her more as time passes.
We share life's events, help each other, provide for, and laugh often.
Our secret? There is none, we put God first, and each other afterwards.

Re: Addicted?
My wife told me that I am addicted to this site. She is wrong. I will check for responses exactly every half hour to see if you think she is right! Am I alone?!? (Not in the theological sense of the word . . . sheesh. That would have gone in the Christian Chit-Chat section!) BTW, while I'm waiting,...

Re: Hunting, yes or no?
Okay, now you've hit a nerve. Didn't god give us the animals for food? I think in my as yet, rudimentary understanding of the bible, he did. That being said I am a hunter but I make it quite sporting. I use a long bow. Not a rifle, not a compound bow with sights and bells and whistles and gears and...

Re: Flag Desecration
... and beyond my own love-of-country, I think their sacrifice alone is plenty of reason to outlaw flag desecration. Same here, I've never personally seen anyone burn our flag and I hope I don't-I'm not at all sure how I would react to it. Many peoplle have died in defense of this country and that ...

Re: UN "Rights of the Child" Treaty
The dumbing down of America began in the fifties with the rise of mass media. Following closely was the sixties with "make love and not war" era that replaced love with sex and noone explained the difference. Then came the seventies when all of authority was put into question; parents, tea...

Re: UN "Rights of the Child" Treaty
This is horrendous, if the U.S. were to adopt this policy then sovereignty goes out the window. Equally troubling is allowing children to make major life decisions without parental consent and I shutter to think at what young age they will need to be when airing their grievence. This is the kind of ...

Just my .02 Don't you mean, "Just my .1"??? :esurprised:   Er . . . wait . . . depends on your tax bracket, doesn't it? If you are in the 25% bracket, then you could say just your .075. That's assuming you figure it exclusively. If you did it inclusively, it'd be more like ...

Re: Taxes as tithes?
I have had a problem with taxes/thithing for a long time. The information I recieved many years ago was the Church through the decades turned over to the government many of the charities the Church had maintained. If this is true, then it seems the Church is responsible for a growing government that...

Re: Obama - what does this mean?
Richard, Right on!! Mega ditto's, I've been following how the Church has become weaker and weaker. Many well intended Christians go to Church, but are afraid to show their faith anywhere else. Some of this has to do with the recent backlashes from the M.S.M. portraying Christianity in a poor light....

Re: Carrie Prejean's Gay Marriage Controversy
Next up getting all that United Nation's blasphemy law and hate speech law forced on the citizens of our country. If he has his way, eventually our government will just be a proxy for the United Nations and foreign countries and we'll all live under oppression. With the exception of Christians of c...

Re: Souter retiring
Now, there is talk of Obama going "outside" the confines of lawyers when choosing a replacement. If not qualified lawyers, then who will they suggest? Barney Frank? Sean Penn? That sounds about right-Bawny Fwank and Sean Pennhead. No doubt... you watch O'Reilly  You can believe ...
