Re: Dinosaurs

Look, the reality remains. Again, to many technicalities, idiosyncrasies and labels. The point is that creatures were bigger in the past and the fossil records bare proof of it. I'm not talking tit for tat (word games) - the evidence is there. And "I BELIEVE" these things are all G-d base...

Re: Ultimate "blind" proof of Darwinian Evolution

Then they probably shouldn't teach darwinian evolution as a fact.... it's the best theory we've got right now... All the skeletons that have been found are still those of apes and monkeys. And as such many of these species that have been found have gone extinct. Oh, I really shouldn't even bother.....

Re: Ultimate "blind" proof of Darwinian Evolution

The problem here is how far do want to invoke a God down the tree of life. Perhaps bacteria and fish also had a belief in a God as well? And perhaps they too are created in Gods image since God created evolution and evolution created all of life, the species (whatever those are) that chose to belie...

Re: Ultimate "blind" proof of Darwinian Evolution

While I find theistic evolution to make sense for the Universe and all life on Earth, since God had to put it there in the beginning and lay the "ground rules", I am unsure on how our current manifestation of human (H. sapiens) became the species "created in God's image". I don't...

Re: Ultimate "blind" proof of Darwinian Evolution

Thus, adding this to your logic of the Darwinian evolutionary process, neither pitch dark nor light can really trigger eye sight (and thus has a tendency to lack any systematic process to creating eyes) since both are negating factors anyway, rendering them degenerate and leaving the question of wh...

Re: Testing the Noah Story?

First it is said all the time that sea levels were lower to allow migration of animals from americas to Asia. I don't mean the ice age. I mean earlier migrations allowing tropical migrations. Perhaps the levels were low for half or a century. an Ice Age or polar melting is the only thing that cause...

Re: Testing the Noah Story?

Fürstentum Liechtenstein: I didn't mean any rudeness by that initial post, I hope you didn't take it to be. I was just preventing a derail of the OP. On your second point, I think some creationist groups have plenty of cash to throw about. I don't know if Discovery Institute would do it since they s...

Re: Ultimate "blind" proof of Darwinian Evolution

Sorry about my edit in the middle of your post... The point is the article attempts to explain away any design/designer by pointing to an example of Salamanders with no eyes. This loss of function is exactly what ID predicts, and is the only thing ID predicts Darwinian Evolution is capable of, to re...

Re: Ultimate "blind" proof of Darwinian Evolution

Let's try again then... So the loss of eyes is explainable by Darwinian evolution and IDer's agree since it is an example of a loss of function and supposedly Darwinian evolution is good at messing up complex structures. I want to know how this does anything for either side. I'll have to remember th...

Re: Ultimate "blind" proof of Darwinian Evolution

so lots of micro-evolution doesn't equal macroevolution? I'm well aware of the "change within a kind is allowed" argument and this seems to be one of them. But my first sentence still stands... where does micro end?

Re: Testing the Noah Story?

Robert: This supposed "essay" of yours has been tossed about on the dozens of forums I've seen you on and the people on every one of them have soundly disproved every bit of it. You also failed to address any questions aimed at you. I suggest everyone not bother with Byer's essay. His whol...

However, the stunt you propose could make an interesting crockumentary on the History Channel... I'd be watching, zapper in hand.
it probably would not be allowed to be filmed as there would be a high number of casualties...

Re: Testing the Noah Story?

This has nothing to do with Jesus or God or getting people to believe in Him, it has to do with the Flood of Noah and whether it was a global event and whether Noah could have accomplished the task. Belief in a localized Flood does not mean that we do not believe in the Bible, Jesus, or God. YEC's h...
