Re: Christians Please Answer

I would recommend a couple of books to get started on the path. The book by Dinesh D'Souza "What's so Great About Christianity" is a good one for an analysis of the world religions and how they relate to Christianity. His section on evolution I don't agree with but it does not detract from...

Re: Christians Please Answer

hp2007, It says very clearly in scripture we are not to judge. Now that being said we can be on a jury and decide cases of law. This goes to behavior not the soul. We are also to teach our children the scripture and to help them become a moral person. This is where the desire of Christians and other...

Re: The “Gay Gene” again

hp2007, Any minority has the same feelings of being left out. I feel it when I enter a liberal college. I feel it when I talk politics to Democrats. I feel it when I talk about God to an atheist. Now I will never know what it feels like to be gay. My beliefs won't take me in that direction. Yes, Chr...

Re: The “Gay Gene” again

I find it unlikely there is a "gay gene", I do however believe that some gene combinations may lead to more sexual drive than others. The end behavior is still a choice of the individual I know that there has been an active campaigne of gay activist over the last 40 years. There has also b...

Re: Christians Please Answer

In scripture there are verses that tell us to spread the Word of God. We are to help people understand that there is a God in heaven who loves them and wants to have a personal relationship with them. To deny this calling is to act against the command of God. Now you have come to a Christian website...

Re: Young Earth Old Universe

Himantolophus, "See above... erosion can happen as fast as it wants. Tectonics will eventually replace land that is eroded. Rates of erosion closely match those of uplift on the continents. If not, we would have no continents to live on." You made my point for me. We do not see uplift matc...

Time of the Gentiles

The Time of the Gentiles When I read the Bible for the first time I noticed that many supernatural interventions occured throughout the early times. It seemed to me that the early people had experienced God first hand and somehow I felt they were lucky. Living in this “modern” time sometimes the co...

Re: Young Earth Old Universe

Himantolophus, So you want me to believe that the Mississippi started a few thousands years ago but the seafloor rose up 200 million years ago according to current geology. Don't you see how that sounds. I can't believe you believe this. If this is the best you have let someone else post on this thr...

Re: Local Flood vs Global Flood

Himantolophus, You want to have us believe in evolution. Then answer this question, why don't we see speciation in the fossil record. A T-rex is the same at the start of the era as the end of the era? A time span of 100 million years or more. If evolution is happening but is too slow to see then whe...

Re: Another far reaching attempt.

When these kind of reports come out I just toss them to the junk pile. If after a year people are still talking about it then I will check of the data. So far I have not had to do that with this junk. This stuff lowers the bar for others to release their own kind of wingnut theories.

Re: Young Earth Old Universe

Himantolophus, Your sources you referenced I have read and they are written for people who don't know any detail. More marketing than an actual attempt to discredit a theory. This is the kind of stuff I place into the junk science bucket. The volume of dirt going down the Mississippi in one year= 6,...

Kurieuo, Gen 2:5 And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground. Gen 2:6 But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of ...

Re: Local Flood vs Global Flood

Push all of the science stuff aside for a minute. Now it had never rained on the earth since it was created. People would not know about a flood or rain. Noah was building a large ship where there was no water. He was gathering animals from around the world. So the story of the ship would be common ...

Re: Did Jesus go to Hell?

jenwat3, No I do not keep the feast. I think we should all know them and honor them at the appropriate times. I am very new to scripture. I read the bible for the first time three years ago. I study a bunch and have studied to really understand prophesy. I am writing a book about my path to understa...

Re: Another far reaching attempt.

This has to go along with the theory that we actually developed on meteors. In clay no less. This is to avoid that nasty water which ruins the development process. No matter how far out a theory is if it supports Darwin it gets front page coverage. I think someone should come up with an award for th...
