Re: controversial scriptures

catherine , The tree of life is guarded by cherubims, why not a simple angel? Because the tree is guarded so Satan does not have access to it. Satan is a cherubim so a cherubim is needed to guard it. We of the flesh can be blinded to it so we would not even see it. In fact I think we are. I think Ed...

Re: Is ID non-scientific because it has relgious implications?

zoegirl,

Thanks for the links. It looks like they are still looking for the mechanism for the guided growth. So I will just move along to something else.

Re: 2000 years of 'nothing' - Jesus and Paul imply 1st Century.

catherine, I sometimes think I would like the rapture to happen right now. But then I think about all of those people who will have to go through the tribulation period. I end up casting off any desires of mine. I follow prophesy and do believe that we will have a nuclear war in the future. Probably...

Re: Is ID non-scientific because it has relgious implications?

Canuckster1127 , I know what you mean. When I came to bio lab I found a bio major and asked them if they wouldn't mind doing my lab also. They sliced up my frog and cat for me. They thought they got the best end of the deal. I just read the book before the final and aced the test. Only took a month ...

Re: Is ID non-scientific because it has relgious implications?

ARWalace, I was reading about plants and they said that two sets of data are injected into an unfertilized seed. One of these makes the embryo and the other one makes food for growth of the embryo. So the pollen has these two sets of data and another tube generator, when it gets stuck near the seed ...

Re: Is ID non-scientific because it has relgious implications?

ELS in some forms is not a code but is torturing the data. The heptadic structure of the words is not a shuffling of letters looking for a match. This is a big subject and one that I enjoy. I may start a thread on this subject but it will take me a week or so to gather the data. Being in your fun el...

Re: Is ID non-scientific because it has relgious implications?

Canuckster1127 , Yes, I can make the statement that the codes reveil the Holy Ghost. The logic for this is: Once you find the codes then you check if the codes could have occured by accident. Once you determine that the codes could not have occurred by some random process then you are left with desi...

Re: Is ID non-scientific because it has relgious implications?

Gman,

I agree with you on the letter skipping sequences. If you torture data enough it will admit to anything. The buried sevens in scripture are a different matter. These are true codes beyond chance.

Re: Is ID non-scientific because it has relgious implications?

ARWallace, My expertise is in electronics. I started when we used punched tape and hand loaded data with little switches to make the ones and zeros. Premicroprocessor and prepersonal computer. The good old days. I agree that we have limited knowledge in all fields but that has never stopped people f...

Re: Is ID non-scientific because it has relgious implications?

ARWallace , Back in the days of early telephone connections were made by passing the signal (voice) thru relays that would connect to a second phone. The contacts would get dirty and the mechanism would wear out. As more people wanted phones the switchboards became bigger and more complex. The parts...

Re: Is ID non-scientific because it has relgious implications?

Himantolophus, Many documents have been analyzed and none were found with any codes beyond what you would expect by random chance. So the Bible stands out by itself as a coded text. Many people thought that the writers actually buried the codes in the text on purpose. But that argument falls apart b...

Re: Is ID non-scientific because it has relgious implications?

ARWallace, I have been doing some reading on genetics and find the subject very interesting. I have only begun to scratch the surface of this subject and already I see complexity beyond what I thought I would see. Do you know of any study done about how something this complex could actually still be...

Re: 2000 years of 'nothing' - Jesus and Paul imply 1st Century.

catherine, I came to God through a study of quantum mechanics. I started to read the scriptures and came to Jesus soon after that. I had many problems with scripture and the world. I had many voices in my head telling me what to do. Over time I realized they were not me. I did not own those thoughts...

catherine , I have posted over 200 times on a different sections of this forum. Today is the first time I came to this section. I left to go watch the game. As I entered the house to watch TV a DVD was playing and a man who works in spiritual warfare was talking. He was talking about how some people...

Re: Evolutionary Psychology in Robots

David Blacklock, I'm quite sure they take evolution as a given. Saying freeways are not safe and then pouring tacks on the road makes for a selffulling prophesy. I don't see any difference between this and programming robots to show signs of evolution. I think these people inpress themselves more th...
