They do contradict each other, I agree with that. But it is my HOPE that God forgives those who never get to hear the Word. I will be brief... I don't think that is the point. Of course we can believe that God can speak to us and move our hearts. I believe however that we shouldn't "fully" trust in ourselves... We need to be careful... According to scripture we also need to examine and test our motives as well...
