Re: The Authority Of Scripture
As for some errors (or flaws:-) ) in the scriptures you must understand thatthe Bible is originally in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek. In it's original form, the Bible is absolutely flawless, perfect, right, and just in everything it says. When it is translated, some things are distorted. However, we ha...

The Authority Of Scripture
My youth pastor talked about this tonight and I thought I'd elaborate on the subject and put it up for discussion. Do you recognize the Bible as the authoritative, flawless (in original manuscripts) Word of God? As for me, yes I do. It is a group books having been finished almost 2,000 years ago, al...

Biblically speaking... Deuteronomy 4:37 " Because He loved your fathers, therefore He chose their descendants after them And He personally brought you from Egypt by His great power, Deuteronomy 10:15 " Yet on your fathers did the LORD set His affection to love them, and He chose their desc...

1 John 2:3 - By this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments. So, are you bearing fruit? Are you striving to do what is pleasing in the sight of the Lord? Please note that this is a result of salvation not what you do to get saved. Romans 10:9 - If you confess with your mo...

Re: Evidence for a Young Sun
I'm not so sure Blacklock's post or Hman's post refuted what I posted. Blacklock, your info about 1 is not really enough to go on. Your info on 2 is interesting and is something to consider. But 3... "We found that the slow-mixing processesinduced by the diffusive overshoot may lead to a substa...

DB, would you explain to me how scientists are getting some of these dates? "Globins are useful in MOLECULAR DATING because all vertebrates have them and they date back at least 500 million years. Here's the way it works: Harmless mutations build up in genes - therefore also in proteins - at a ...

I do think Microevolution (adaptation) happens...it's pretty obvious. But, the way his statement was set up infered Macroevolution, which I think is unbiblical. If you disagree with me that's fine.

Re: Evolution is a design Process
"Take in the case of designing of a building. The architect would come up with many designs and keep improving on the design by selecting the best attributes at any stage." This strongly implies that God has keep improving his creation, saying that his original design, or "rough draft...

Re: relationship between Faith and Evidence...?
Hey Fleaster, some very good thoughts. I think most people who are Christians are that not b/c of evidence, but b/c of faith. However, that does not in any way make it futile to look at the evidence that God has placed in front of us, especially when you have a person directly atking your faith with...
