Re: Revelation 6:6
I know that "a measure of wheat for a penny and three measures of barley for a penny" means the prices are increase but how? Also, what does, "but hurt not the oil or the wine" mean? I have wondered about that myself. Most commentaries I have read refer to the "oil and wine...

Re: Calvary Chapels YEC ?
Best approach I've found is to focus on the Scriptural foundation for OEC. Science is important in confirming an OEC interpretation but it is not foundational. Once people realize that YEC is a hermenuetic and not actually a clear teaching of Scripture then they become open to seeing the other alte...

Re: Calvary Chapels YEC ?
Dazed and Confused. Hi. We've been going to Calvary Chapels for quite some time too, but we haven't been getting that quarterly (we should!). I heard a year ago or so that Chuck Smith had said the same thing on a radio broadcast. I had looked into the days/years controversy some a while back, and i...

Re: Calvary Chapels YEC ?
I am hopeful that the article Chuck Smith wrote well be a new beginning for Calavry Chapels throughout the country as it relates to the creation. Kent Hovind basically toured the majority of Calvary's prior to his incarceration and I personally feel he did quite a bit of damage to the body of believ...

Calvary Chapels YEC ?
I have been attending Calvary Chapels for about six years now and I love the work the Lord has done through this movement of His Spirit. As far as I have known the majority of Calvary's have been YEC's in the preaching and teaching of the Word, as well as the reference material they sell in their bo...

Re: sentimental childhood memories
There was another one I really enjoyed made in the same fashion of HR Puff N Stuff, but I cant remember the name. It was with that guy from "Laugh Inn", he would fly around in a giant magic top hat and travel between this world and a strange far off magical one. The boy who played the lead...

Re: sentimental childhood memories
My dad had an Austin Healey Sprite that he sold several years ago. He would always take me to my trumpet lessons in it, so I wont miss that. Things I remember from my childhood that I do miss: HR Puff N Stuff, Land of the Lost, Big Wheels, GI Joe's "the big ones", all the kids on my block,...

Re: Please Introduce Yourself Here
I was wondering if I could post the hubble images from this site in other public forums. Just curious, I dont want to infringe upon the copywrite if there is one. I'll wait for a response before I do anything. -Thanks

Re: seeking quick advice
JW's do always come in two's. I would be suspicious if one of them was alone, there trained to proselytize in pairs like Mormons. Strange parallels between JW's and Mormons.

Re: Removal of Britannia from 50P coin
Is it a case the GB is not the country we used to be because of this plus many more "idols" we use in our lives. Was the book of Judges in the O.T. not written about how Isreal turned from God, worshipped idols and got themselves into allsorts of bother!!! I was always under the impressio...

Re: Please Introduce Yourself Here
My dad had been showing slight symptoms of Alzheimer's disease for the past several years. It has progressed recently. Can he still receive his salvation even after it has developed into full blown dementia? Is there any information on this site (or another) that can give me a biblical perspective. ...

Re: Please Introduce Yourself Here
As I was going through this site I was very pleased to have found a section that dealt with the Rapture of the church and the persecution of believers. I have held a pre-wraith position for sometime now and was blessed from the study material I had found here. This site is a great beacon of truth......

Re: Please Introduce Yourself Here
Is there a link someone can recommend that deals with the creation sequence in Genesis and how it relates to a naturalistic interpretation.
