Re: The Christmas Star
Although I have some disagreement with his doctrine, John MacArthur constructed and excellent, well researched presentation on the Magi, including his take on the Christmas star. It's available to read or listen to, at no charge, here... http://www.gty.org/Resources/Sermon+Series/96 If you can get p...

Just for the record, I live in western New York state and no blizzard here. Cloudy and cold but no snow.

Re: barack sets the stage for anti christ
Obama's not the anti-christ. He's an empty suit modern liberal who learned politics in the backrooms of Chicago and how to talk a smooth talk people want to hear (using a teleprompter and speech writers) like Reagan used to. Because he's a Harvard graduated modern liberal black man the secular, Jew...

Perhaps the question should be:
"Where do OBJECTIVE moral values come from (originate)?"

Re: The movie Religulous by Bill Maher
I can't help but to feel empathy for Mr. Maher. He seems to have taken a confrontational line of belittling anyone who believes in anything and, at the same time, disrespects those who believe in nothing (won't take a stand). Yet, Maher insists he's a comedian. As Jay Leno once said in his critisicm...

Re: Apology-
Thanks RH - I've got the video buffering now...my internet connection is very very very slow! I suppose I should have warned you that the panel discussion is two hours long, including the Q&A, but it is well worth it. I find Christopher Hitchens fascinating and respect his willingness to be &qu...

Re: Matthew 24:34 need help with this one
My copy of The Apologetics Study Bible (NKJV) cross references this passage with Mark 13:30 and states the following: "These things" that will happen in "this generation" are the events surrounding the destruction of the temple, about which the disciples asked (vv.1-4). The templ...

Re: Apology-
Hi Imperial! Good to see your apology. I'm an atheist and I've found (so far) that this is a very pleasant board where people are having proper discussions, rather than the sniping and rabid arguments that you get on a lot of discussion boards where religion is discussed. I try to remain civil in o...

Re: Review of Hugh Ross' : The Genesis Question
If anyone has not seen "Journey Toward Creation", I strongly suggest you do.
There is a newer updated version available (probably will have to updated again, since Pluto still qualifies as a "planet" in this version).
Excellent viewing, great teaching tool .

Re: Why are conservatives so mean?
This is an interesting topic with many thoughtful responses. I would like to address the topic headline, "Why are conservatives so mean?" I am often asked a similar question, "Why are you Christians/Evangelicals so mean?" Then, they provide examples of comments made by Pat Robert...
