Politics and the Law of Non-Contradiction
Can you use the law of non-contradiction to test political ideaologys? Can it be applied to both subjective and objective reasoning? Any help is appreciated.

Re: The Passion of the Christ
I, like Rick, was considerably underwhelmed. The film did have an impact on many, despite Mr. Gibson's shortcomings and my personal apathy towards the film.

Re: Homosexual Marriage (aka digging up a hot-button topic)
Jac, Thank you so much for your thoughtful post. I always appreciate and benefit from your input. A secular culture would argue from 2 points: 1.) Who are you to say what "love" is and what "love" is not? It's up to the individual to determine what love is for them (post modern w...

Re: Homosexual Marriage (aka digging up a hot-button topic)
If it were 1956, and I told you within 10-15 years it will be socially acceptable to have sex outside of marriage, you would have thought I was crazy. If it were 1967, and I told you within 10 years a woman can have a legal abortion simply on a whim, you would have said "no, that would never ha...

Re: Help on love & limits...
Thanks everyone for trying to help. I should have made my point clearer on where I'm going with this in the class...Most defenders of gay marriage say it's not a matter of sex, it's a matter of "love" between two same-sex adults. Nothing else "matters" as long as two people (same...

Re: Atheistic Hatred
I recently met a young man named Chris. He was a devout atheist, enjoyed Richard Dawkins and the late Christopher Hitchens. The more he heard them speak, the more he recognized the fact that they were coming from a point from anger. In debates, he stated," the Dawkins & Hitchens sides were ...

Hi, Bob.
When I went through something similar to what you are going through about 10 years ago, I restarted my relationship with God by looking at the sky and decided to find out how it got there.
Origin, meaning, morality and destiny.
