Re: Narnia
@chizum, I could see that happening. Lewis' books are the classics in Children's fantasy though. There have been so many since then with the genre just getting bigger and bigger, it seems. I'd read them again sometime and then see what you think. I'll definetely re-read them when I can. To give you...

Re: Narnia
Read the entire series a year or two ago. I must say I was a little disappointed. That's probably because my mom/cousins had built it waaaayyyyyy up though.

Re: Infinite universe?
Well I'm not married to the Big Bang or anything, but, angel, don't you think Hubble's Law and the PREDICTED cosmic background radiation are pretty solid beams of support? Contrary to what you said of "no direct evidence." I also have to disagree with your statements that most astrophysici...

Re: to all theist evolutionists

Indeed. Sorry if I'm a bit of a cynic, I've been stuck at home the last few weeks, it'll do that to you.Byblos wrote:Hi chizum and welcome to the board.
Whatever keeps you Christ-centered I would say is a very good thing.
God bless you.

I think I'll probably return to my Catholic church ultimately.

Re: women to be silent in church?
Uhh. Women ministers are rare and typically only found in protestant denominations that have decide-for-yourself type theology. Contrary to the swing of this thread, I'd suggest that Paul's verses are being followed by the vast majority. While that might be the norm, we cannot say from scripture th...

Re: Ben Stein - Expelled movie
I was disappointed with Expelled. I accept evolution, but having spent the better part of the last few years obsessed with this debate I felt the Expelled movie could have been done way better. They chose to focus on freedom instead of debate, which I'd rather have seen.

Re: Considering Catholicism
This is my first post. I've been a fan of Rich's site for some time now and I just started browsing the forums. It looks right up my alley so I'll probably be sticking around. What pushed me over the top to register was this thread. I went through the exact same consideration as the thread starter. ...
