Re: Fall of man: objection against theistic evolutionists

This is all very interesting. Does not the Church of England have some sort of doctrinal belief either for or against creationism? I think they were just apologizing for not being open to the evidence presented in evolution and have taken a theistic evolutionists doctrine as a result. I personally ...

Fall of man: objection against theistic evolutionists

This is taken from a member of another board. I found it interesting and wanted to hear some thoughts on it. The Church of England expressed deep concerns last night about the spread of creationist views as it prepared to unveil a website promoting the evolutionary views of Charles Darwin. http://ww...

Re: New to morality

Thanks for replying. Morality is still a little confusing but I'm reading a book and I'm starting a philosophy class soon so that will help some too.

Thanks again!

Me too.

I believe it's in Ephesians (either Eph. 5 or Eph. 6) where Paul writes to submit to your Government's rules and such.

Re: Evolution scientists...yeah, but creation scientists?

IMO, I really dislike YEC "Science" because, quite frankly, think they are willing to ignore, manipulate data to fit what they think scripture says. Not tom mention that most of the links provided claim that other ideas about scripture are essentially heresy. But, that's not what you aske...

New to morality

Ok so as the title of this thread says I'm new to morality.

My only question so far is "If morality exists then why must it be from a divine origin rather than being manmade?"

Evolution scientists...yeah, but creation scientists?

Can someone point me in the right direction of a creation scientist(s)? I have been told that they only exist as a negligible minority in the scientific community?

EDIT:Feel free to take discussion in any direction. Original question has been answered.

ID...why isn't it religion?

Many atheists consider ID to be psuedo science but recently I've been talking to atheists that say it's just "religion in disguise."

So my question is the following: Why isn't ID religion?

Re: If a Begin requires a Beginner...

Inserting god seems pointless and irrelevant, as it only begs the question of where did god come from God didn't come from anywhere, he is eternally existent. If he was created then he wouldn't be God. nd using god as a first cause is a complete non-argument. How-so? Just because we don't have a co...

Re: If a Begin requires a Beginner...

Well I don't know about that. God hasn't appeared to athiests yet and it possible for someone to geniunely not believe in God, so I don't think that means that they are actually agnostics. I do agree that atheism is ludacrous though. I would agree. Although I would like to add that most atheists ar...
