Re: Ultimate "blind" proof of Darwinian Evolution
So if "it's possible" for God to create a bacterial flagellum via natural means, how would a bacterial flagellum evolving via natural means falsify ID? Again it depends on what you mean be natural means... I don't believe in purely naturalistic means (no help from God). Let's say I mean &...

Re: ID...why isn't it religion?
You didn't answer the question: What specifically have ID creationists determined to be "designed"? Can you give a specific example of something being identified as "specified complexity"? Gee, well let's see…. Where has evolution ever been documented to produce a living cell, a...

Re: Ultimate "blind" proof of Darwinian Evolution
Are you suggesting that populations stop evolving when we aren't looking? Anything is possible within the "controled" atmosphere of a science lab. First, "anything's possible" isn't really an answer to a question. Second, the whole point of controlling variables in a lab experim...

Re: Evolution scientists...yeah, but creation scientists?
I hardly think anyone who signs this document as a pretext for doing work can be properly referred to as a "scientist". The statement: No apparent, perceived, or claimed interpretation of evidence in any field, including history and chronology, can be valid if it contradicts the Scriptural...

Re: Ultimate "blind" proof of Darwinian Evolution
It is interesting that the "evolution" you are referring to is happening in a controlled environment that has been set up and monitored by scientists. Variable controls are an essential part of experimentation. Also, I've provided other examples of evolution taking place in the wild. Are ...

Re: Ultimate "blind" proof of Darwinian Evolution
I guess by that you are meaning virulent bacteria and viruses. I would say yes. So how do you feel about worshipping a God who intentionally and deliberately created all manner of pathogens, parasites, and other horrible things that have caused the suffering of untold millions? In any other context...

Re: Ultimate "blind" proof of Darwinian Evolution
In this forum, I have posted the link to the paper describing the evolution of a new species (Tragopogon spp.). I've posted this link multiple times.godslanguage wrote:Show us this evidence for evolution happening at the present

Re: Ultimate "blind" proof of Darwinian Evolution
Gman, So if "it's possible" for God to create a bacterial flagellum via natural means, how would a bacterial flagellum evolving via natural means falsify ID? So "natural causes" are antithetical to ID? It depends on what you mean by "natural causes". You're the one who ...

Re: ID...why isn't it religion?
Sorry 'bout that. Post it again and I'll be more than happy to discuss it. Oh, so you are confessing you were wrong. You sure seemed sure that you were right earlier. Btw, we are discussing the topic now (in case you haven't noticed). Ok. I never said “the” majority of scientists, I said “a” majo...

Re: Ultimate "blind" proof of Darwinian Evolution
ID could actually be quite open to falsification. If we use evolution to falsify ID... Oh, well since we see evolution take place right in front of our eyes, I guess ID is falsified. all a scientist needs to do is take a complex organism like a bacterium without a flagellum or knock the genes out w...

Re: Ultimate "blind" proof of Darwinian Evolution
I do think that when we are talking about design and a dseginer we (meaning Christians) need to be careful about assuming that it *should* be designed in some way. But that avoids the issue I described above. Are the really nasty, horrible things that are also complex "designed" or not? H...

No... You purposely deleted my quote about "seeding". You only responded to what you wanted to. Sorry 'bout that. Post it again and I'll be more than happy to discuss it. Ever heard of these scientists? Though it is hypothetical and currently unproven... http://mensnewsdaily.com/2008/06/2...

Re: Ultimate "blind" proof of Darwinian Evolution
sure it "easy" ... it's very vague by itself. I think many people who accept evolution without even studying it blithely accept that *over time* anything can happen. Ah, I see our disconect here. I was thinking of scientists, you were thinking of the general public. Of course the general ...

Re: ID...why isn't it religion?
I do not know what it is you are asking to answer whether or not I don't agree. However, I think their own statements are clear enough and do not really need further comment. I agree. The Discovery Institute has made absolutely no bones about the fact that "intelligent design" is merely a...

Re: ID...why isn't it religion?
You did it, and you probably don't even know it. Then it shouldn't be any problem for you to show specifically where I did. You wouldn't make an unsubstantiated false accusations, would you? Tell us how the Discovery Institute has forged the evidence in support of design. I don't recall saying they...
