Re: Fall of man: objection against theistic evolutionists

Obviously I am not a scientist. I do not, however, belief in the infallibilty of the radioative dating of rocks. I do believe the earth is extremly old, but I don't believe that "life" took hold so far in advance of the earth's original existence. I don't believe scientist's can prove anyt...

Re: I don't know if I am an agnoistic or a Christian

I think you guys are dead on, of course. But I have had no luck with pastors. I am sure if I could meet a pastor I could trust, I would not feel so independent and alone. Years ago, I was under the influence of a very charismatic type Baptist pastor, but something was lost along the way. I looked to...

Re: I don't know if I am an agnoistic or a Christian

I have no pastor at this time that I would feel comfortable confiding in. I would certainly ask for advice and cousel from a pastor, but I would not view a pastor as a final authorrity on what to believe. That is just how I am and how I think. My search is not for an authority figure or a charismati...

Re: I don't know if I am an agnoistic or a Christian

I admit I am in the midst of a spiritual crisis, or something of that nature. I am a product of too much "book" knowledge and too much education, I guess. Alas, I would prefer the faith of a child or a simpleton. (No offense to simpleton's) I fear I will never experience that which is desc...

Re: I don't know if I am an agnoistic or a Christian

I want to thank both of you for your prompt response to my inquiry. To address a few of your questions and concerns, I really do not have a problem with the fact of the historical Jesus. That is the least of my problems. Also, I do think it is fair to say I am a "soft boiled" agnostic, tho...

Re: Fall of man: objection against theistic evolutionists

This is all very interesting. Does not the Church of England have some sort of doctrinal belief either for or against creationism? As an American I find the Church is quite liberal. I personally do not believe that either creation or evolution can be proved in the sense of a scientific way. There ar...

I don't know if I am an agnoistic or a Christian

Hi, I am new to the board so I would like to say hello to everyone. My dilemma is I don't really know if I have true faith or if I am agnostic. Some times when I reflect on Jesus Christ it all seems perfectly reasonable and and that He is the answer to all my questions and searching. At other times,...
