Re: Can you prove God exists only using logic?
I don't see why you're so quick to rule out the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Strictly speaking, it's no less logical than Christianity or Scientology or Islam. ;) My reasoning has led me to believe that everyone has their own set of truths that they hold self-evident. Those are the personal axioms of l...

Re: Can you prove God exists only using logic?
Of course, you can prove anything using logic. Unfortunately, everything ultimately relies on some underlying axiom or postulate. So, if you say the following axioms are true: 1. A universe can only be created by God. 2. All universes have a beginning and thus a creation. Then, the proof is trivial....

Thanks Felgar for the encouraging words because I really would like to find the truth. And if God is as real as you guys all say he is then Him putting me straight is no big thing if that is his will for me. Just a matter of it being the correct time I suppose. I will try looking more closely at wha...

Now you're beginning from the other side, believing it to be errant until proven. So every objection to you would be seen as valid. You got no reason to look further into Scripture. I am going to have to disagree with you. I don't believe I am seeking with the preconcieved belief that it is erroneo...

I think its a very dangerous road to go down if you try to invalidate the scriptures. If you believe that God is God, then how can you question what He says? If He says the Word is divine, then it is. That's all God has to do, tell me that it is divine, and then so be it, I'll believe just as devou...

Well, like I said... It seems like Paul was nothing but a supremely adept con artist. Plus early Christian people already believed and what is easier than selling Christian people on Jesus? I mean really, it's about as hard as selling kids on toys and candy. So here was Paul persecuting the Christia...

skeptical about Paul
Hello All, I am really having a hard time understanding why Christians afford such a huge amount of authority based on the word of the apostle Paul. First off, it seems like his very name is deceptive, calling him an apostle. I suppose in the generic sense he was an apostle, but it seems to mislead ...

Well, I don't know whether it's a sin. I feel kind of conflicted about it. It seems harmless, enjoyable, and a safe way to relieve that sexual energy that is a fundamental part of God's design for humans. On the other hand, it does bring about lustful thoughts. But, God created me as a sexual person...

Masturbation, Does God Really Kill a Puppy Every Time?
Okay, the title was just a joke, but the topic is serious. I am curious about what Christians think about masturbation? Is it a sin? If so how is a young Christian man expected to ignore the sexual energy that is so prominent in a man's life in his middle teens through whenever he gets married? Just...
