Re: Revelation 8:8 being fullfilled?
Somewhere in Revelation does it hint anything about climate change?

Revelation 8:8 being fullfilled?
There's a lot going around right now with people connecting Revelation 8:8 to the current Gulf of Mexico oil catastrophe. However, if you read two previous verses: Revelation 8:5 and Revelation 8:7 - they sound more akin to a chain of huge meteor/asteroid impact events.. nothing like that has happen...

Re: Is ID non-scientific because it has relgious implication
Again if one is taught in the science lab then the should also. Or they can both stay out. I think I'm dreaming though at this point hehe. I hope you slept well. Agreed. Something I would not like to see being taught in schools, universities, etc. however, is the YEC theology. (no offense to Young ...

Re: Is ID non-scientific because it has relgious implication
Evolutionism (macro-evolution) should also be left out of the science lab as well though. I disagree. I definitely think speciation ("macroevolution") is plausible.. Do most of you day-agers here flatout reject the theory of speciation, or are just skeptical? (asking because i've seen som...

I have autism and generally don't enjoy a lot of social activities... Mostly I prefer solitude, and am not so prone to feeling lonely..

Re: Can science and faith really coexist? Please convince me...
I think it's a stretch to conclude that evolution/speciation (micro or macro) never happened, or to completely doubt it... it seems unlikely to me that every single species was created (asa) independently,, don't you think?

Re: NWO
I have a list of the major players somewhere the conspiracy theorists compiled. You'll find all of the highly influential powerful and wealthy names like the Rothschilds on it. I'd like to see it. Also note (in case anyone's wondering) that what I said "rubbish claims spouted and spread by tho...

NWO
This NWO ("New World Order"), "Free Masonry" and all that... is it fact or more or less conspiracy nonsense? In some ways it reminds me of a lot of rubbish claims spouted and spread by those Young Earth Creationist proponents.

I think the question should be "How do atheists explain the paranormal?".

Is going to church mandantory after getting baptized?
Is there such a thing as 'free' baptisms - in which people can walk in to get baptized and "born again" once without necessarily joining that church if they don't really want to? I don't attend church even though I consider myself a Christian, as I'm not a very sociable person and committi...

Re: Microevolution/Progressitive Creation
I seem to recall that we are a bottleneck result, but I could be remembering incorrectly....I shall have to check Yea we are, but scientists estimate we started from a population of about 15,000. Starting off with just two individuals would have disastrous effects on any animal species, and we prob...

Re: Microevolution/Progressitive Creation
Yes, I still like the image in my sig though. Though if humanity really decends from just two people - wouldn't that have put our species into a severe bottleneck position and lead to our extinction?

Re: Microevolution/Progressitive Creation
Zoegirl and Kurieuo, Maybe we are misunderstanding each other. What you both just wrote seems to be what I mean. What I do not hold to is that we evolved from previous hominids, nor do I think the texts leaves open the idea that God took a biopsy from one of the hominids and bana , made a human. Th...
