Re: What are the top arguments atheists should NOT use?
Hi Jimmy You stated, "Hey guys, guess what? We have a better method, its called the scientific method... Just take a piece of paper and list all the values benefits and medicine and advanced surgery that science has brought us as a value on one side. Then on the other side, fill up the sheet wi...

Re: Fight FOCA
Hi Guys Keep your eys on Australia, Victoria, Melbourne. Our state government has just passed a law later last year similar to the one proposed for you guys. In technical terms a hospital and doctor who oppose abortion may be forced to do so. I have not heard of it starting as yet but keep eyes open...

Re: "restoring science"
In for a bympy ride??? The view from here in sunny Australia is that you guys have been riding the rapids for a while what with the fight against terrorism, hurricanes, local issues, huge debt and the financial crisis just to name a few. I am not sure Obama can cause much more in the way of bumpy ri...

Re: Microevolution/Progressitive Creation
HI zoegirl I too would not find it too difficult to believ the same. I just think that the evidence is less conclusive then what anonimiss, dayage or others think. As for the DNA and chromosomes, it is interesting but is ahuge leap to say we have a common ancestor I believe. It is one thing to sugge...

Re: Microevolution/Progressitive Creation
Hi Anon Firstly you did not comment on my question about youtr beliefs compared to what Jesus said. I will give you the possibility that we have misinterpreted what is said in Genesis 1-11. But Jesus??? You said," But if human evolution is wrong and if we were created "from scratch",,...

Re: Are all Earth-bound spirits ("ghosts") demonic?
I tend to think all "ghosts" are demonic. There are two instances of people returning from the dead to visit people who are themselves still in the physical. God sent them. But apart from this I think the rest are demons. The new age and occult is full of people deceived that thier grandft...

Re: Microevolution/Progressitive Creation
Dear Anon In light of your beliefs about creation what dop you make of these verses? Mark 10:6 says, “But from the beginning of the creation, God 'made them male and female.'” From this passage, we see that Jesus clearly taught that the creation was young, for Adam and Eve existed “from the beginni...

Re: Recent suicide tragedy
Hi everyone Thanks for your prayers. We had the funeral yesterday and it went well considering. I spoke with my mate a few days earlier and was able to speak about the gospel and God in general. He has a basic faith but still has not given his life. The wife who killed herself may have as she was Ca...

Hi Dayage Thanks for your links. It is also refreshing to be able to debate and discuss these concepts with no emotional attachments or taking the opposite views as a personal attack. Thank you and keep it going. You mentioned 7th day questions.I assume you mean ,"Gen. 2:2-3 says that God reste...

Re: Microevolution/Progressitive Creation
Hi Dayage Yes, welcome to the forum. I will not go into the negative evidence against evolution and theistic evolution except to say that one needs faith to believe in that as no one has yet proven it is 100% true. It still requires faith and the evidence attributed to it is not as good as people sa...

Re: Saved yet sinning imagination
Hi JDmay You mentioned you shared this issue with your Pastor. I was wondering if you and other people in your Church have set up an accountability group where you can regular pray with and share your life. As for prayer. You said it did not work. I sense you treat God like Santa Claus making up a l...

Re: Microevolution/Progressitive Creation
Hi Guys The days in Genesis are indeed days and one day being 24 hours. The word Yom is used many times for days so why would it not mean day this time in Genesis? Moses wrote Psalms 90.7 In this Psalm, Moses compares 1000 years to a single day or a watch in the night. In the next verse, he compares...

Re: Fear
Hi Nessa Zoegirl is correct about fearing death. I do not think God will reject you just because your fear got you to walk towards HIm. But do not let this be the only reason now. Your faith will grow as you expereinec God more and read His word more. Ask in prayer for help and you will receive this...

Hi Saint confused. I enjoyed your honesty and straight up front approach. By the way we all belong here as long as we adhere to the rules setup on this blog. As far as Bibles can I recommend you go for the King James version or even get yourself a Greek translation Bible of the new testament. You so...

Dean has not had time to grieve as he has been inundated with calls and visitors. I pray his grieving begins. I pray he searches...
