Re: But here is the big question:Why did God create us?
At the end of the day, "in Him Jesus" all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form. I must admit it is difficult to try to understand this Thomist' view of God. I must submit myself to the only way i know to relate to God, and that is through the person of Jesus. Jesus wept, felt anger,...

Re: who are disciples
Disciple essentially means student. Many, if not most in modern Christendom conflate believer to disciple. The apostle Paul (our apostle, btw) never does so. He never instructs anyone to be a disciple, not once. The 12 were disciples of Jesus. That is, they sat directly under the teaching of Jesus. ...

Re: In defense of objective morals
Okay I see, and this is one of the reasons I find the belief that morality as objective; frightening. To believe morality is based upon the word of a Deity, God, another being, etc prevents discourse on the specific moral issue. If right and wrong, is determined by what this person says, what happe...

Re: How did you come to believe in miracles?
If the first miracle is true (creation), then all other miracles listed in the Bible are at least plausible. If nature (time, space, matter) came into existence at some fixed point in time past, then the cause of the universe would have be timeless and immaterial. Since the cause of the nature can't...

Re: In defense of objective morals
Slavery is one of many things that causes problems for our society. I don't just mean from a utilitarian standpoint of what children born into slavery can accomplish for society. I mean from a psychological perspective of what it does to all citizens, both would-be slave owners and those who are pu...

That's why I said review and revise. Sorry for voicing my opinion. Seems I'm the only one not welcome to do such.

Re: What does the Ceres pyramid say about intelligent design
I know, I also didn't see a lot of pictures of it. I have, however, read one or two testimonies from diffent types of people (some of which were scientists) claiming it does look like a pyramid. One of them, if I recall, even comented how mysterious and strange Ceres seems to be...which sounds cree...

Re: In defense of objective morals
Ken If such a standard exists, why isn’t there a consensus on what this standard is? This is the same question you seem stuck on. I've already given reason why consensus can't be found. The burden is on you. you've made a claim as to why consensus is required. Claims require supportive arguments. Y...
