Re: How do evolutionists explain the paranormal?

Ok, then give me specific examples that the paranormal/supernatural doesn't exist... Where is your scientific proof? I stated scientifically we don't always know.. It can't work that way. The burden of proof lies with the one making the claim: Just curious how do the evolutionists or naturalism (wi...

Re: How do evolutionists explain the paranormal?

OK I can't help it, and the discussion seems to have turned back toward the initial topic. That it is scientifically testable no more than I can say that the origin of life has been scientifically proven in a lab either or that we are simply biological mechanisms without the spiritual... I think the...

Re: How do evolutionists explain the paranormal?

Never mind. Clearly you're not interested in actually discussing the paranormal and were just looking for people to agree with you.

Peace.

Re: How do evolutionists explain the paranormal?

Assault? Don't look at me. You stated that the paranormal was like explaining frosty the snowman. Well, as a Christian I happen to believe in supernatural phenomena and the paranormal as true or possibilities. So if you call my beliefs a fairly tale such as frosty the snowman, then don't be surpris...

Re: How do evolutionists explain the paranormal?

Maybe I missed something. When did this turn into a discussion about evolution? I was under the impression that paranormal phenomena was the topic at hand, or can nothing be discussed here without degenerating into an assault on evolution?

Re: How do evolutionists explain the paranormal?

Sounds like Darwinian evolution.... Really? That's the response? A stab at evolution? Has paranormal activity ever been proven, i.e. demonstrated consistently in a controlled and objective experiment? I think not, and unlike god, paranormal phenomena IS something that should be able to be consisten...

Re: Question regarding introduction page 2

I don't know. Is it necessary for this site to disallow faith statements and information from the Bible that is not wholly scientific? Can't they be mixed together here, as long as the science aspect is clear? I don't want to speak for Rich, the owner of the site, but I don't see why the site has t...

Re: Question regarding introduction page 2

It says here that the universe is as big as it is because of the necessity for nuclear fusion, so that the universe didn't end up being all hydrogen. It makes the univserse habitable for us, which is the main point, I think. So this brings us back to my original question. If the current size of the...

The James Randi Education Foundation (JREF), has offered a $1,000,000 dollar prize for anyone who is able to provide evidence of any paranormal, supernatural, occult, etc. type powers or events. The prize has been offered for several decades. The applicants are asked to design the tests, and all tes...

Re: Question regarding introduction page 2

Thanks for you thoughts! In that case, I have another question (which was bound to come up anyway). If god created these laws such that they would conform exactly to his wishes, and as the bible suggests the universe was created solely for the purpose of creating humanity, then why is the universe s...

Re: just a thought, do we give science too much credit?

Often in science questions of "how" and "why" are indistinguishable. You could ask why a ball will fall towards the ground when dropped. Well, the answer is that the ball falls because two objects with mass experience an attractive force between them. You could continue to ask wh...

Question regarding introduction page 2

Hi, I'm not here to get mean or anything like that, but as I read through the pages on this site I will certainly have questions. So here is my first: The overriding theme on the page "General Introduction for Non-Believers, Part 2: Evidence for Belief in God" is that there are many finely...
