Re: Bible's accuracy and different translations
Frankly,I do not care what atheists think anymore, to me its stupid in the superlative degree. there is no way to prove God through science or logic, it is as simple as Paul said, you need only believe. Believe and he is. I have absolutely NO problem believing what god says. Believing what people s...

Re: Question of the Day
Second, you know full well what the evidence is. You want absolute proof? None of us have it! The problem is, you have to acknowledge that SOMETHING is necessary for the existence of all that is. That's right - NONE of us has any proof. Everything that is came into existence somehow, but the "...

Re: Objective Morality?
...OK, prove that OM exists (an ontological statement). Those who claim OM exists then use its presumed existence as the basis of their view of right and wrong… I ask again, prove the existence of OM. Just because you (collectively) believe it exists (or that must exist, or can't conceive it doesn'...

Re: Question of the Day
I don't know how matter first originated. Since you (theists) are claiming you DO know, it seems the onus is on you to prove your explanation. Of the number of hypotheses for the origin of all matter, I find a preexisting magical being powerful enough to cause everything else to come into existence...

Re: Question of the Day
My point was that if my morality comes from the bible and a non-religious person's morality comes from philosophy or conscious thought process, then at best it only proves that the chances of turning out moral or immoral in religion or non-religion (atheism or secularism, socialism or communism) is...

Re: Question of the Day
I understand your point about how many things could have prevented life as we know it by being slightly different. But given that the known universe contains billions of galaxies, each with billions of stars, the probability of at least one star having a planet with the correct parameters doesn't s...

Re: Objective Morality?
I understand where the concept of "objective morality" comes from. My problem with OM is that way too many people claim they know what OM says is "right" & "wrong" but cannot give a clear and definitive answer as to just how they gained their knowledge of what is r...

Re: Question of the Day
Admittedly, Jesus has some very good lessons to live by. But just because someone has some worthwhile philosophical ideas doesn't make him more than a man. Just because a book written hundreds of year after attributes some "miracles" (including his resurrection) to him doesn't prove his d...

Then I guess I have no idea why you consider my response "as vague as not responding". because you were not clear that you see the implication of your pov, thats all. I am sorry for the mixed up English, (English isn't my first language, ur rite about that ). Your English is better than m...

Re: Objective Morality?
Here is the real problem, Objective morality only exists as long as the pre-requisite for it is given and that is God. If there is a God, then objective morality exists. First off, that was describing codes of conduct related to some non-human species. Secondly, do you think that the Army didn't le...

Re: Stuff before marriage : /
Let's not forget the [secular] institution of marriage provides significant protection to both parties and also (and more importantly) to any children that may result from the "stuff".
