I'm pretty sure there is nothing to that. We know pretty much for sure that either: 1) Matthew and Luke used Mark as a source for their writing (so, we therefore know that Mark was used first), or 2) All three used a common source. The second is pretty unlikely. As a third note, some people are tryi...

Proverbs are principles to live by, not conditional promises of God. I won't quote examples but a study of the observations in Ecclesiastes shows that there are direct contradictions with the statements in Proverbs. Just wanted to quote for agreement. I'm actually taking OT Survey right now, and we...

Hey johnny... A couple of problems with your post. First, obviously, a reference would be needed here. Secondly, the development of prebionts is not at all as easy as what scientists would have us think. Ian Musgrave provides a discussion of this . . . there are many problems with his article, but, ...

As for the suffering notion..humans are relieved of their pain after they look toward Jesus the Christ as their savior and follow him correct? thats essentially what i meant occurs with animals that possess a soul, and i compared a dolphin to a child because children are not aware of Jesus our Lord...

Woha there, hold up ;) Um do you guys not look at this very site..It states that animals such as whales dolphins dogs..etc have a soul and that what separates humans is their ability to love God. I'm not saying you are wrong on this, but I've not seen it, so a reference would be nice. Also it seems ...

Man Kurieuo - I don't have enough time to learn hebrew and greek or aramaic in order to just be able to read the original scripture. And aren't there varrying texts from different manuscripts (Dead Sea, Textus Receptus, Alexandrian...) That's why some translations don't have a few verses in them wh...

You'll be happy to know, I think, that the early Church Fathers dealt pretty much with these questions early on when they were first establishing the doctrine of the Trinity. There was a belief called Monarchianism popular in the second century A.D. It came in two forms, Dynamic Monarchianism (or Ad...

Yes, you did misunderstand me. I was referring to the animal's position in a fallen cosmos. I'm not saying we aren't supposed to work at subduing this world--it was clearly assumed that Adam would continue to cultivate the world even after he sinned, given the nature of his curse. What I am saying i...

Why pick on the SDA's? Cause, like Catholics, it is so easy  Sorry, but I think this would be a very poor method. You do not believe Young Earth Creationism, you're an Old Earth Creationist. (Acceptable term?) If the person finds out you're lying, you'll be shut down very quickly. You can't ar...

Hey BP . . . good to have you aboard. In general, I think the point you raise is a good one--as an aside, though, you might want to tidy up your terminology ;). I have a tendency to look at the Bible in terms of primary and secondary doctrines. Of course, I have to be careful here, because I don't w...

Prayer for the lost? 1 Tim. 2:1-4 seems to be pretty all encompassing: First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity...

As you noted, you don't convict. The HS does. Your job, as I understand things, is to be a witness when/how he calls you to be. No witness puts himself on the stand. He is put there by the court. When do you give up? I don't think you do. You always make yourself available to be the witness that God...
