Re: Carnivorous animals before the fall...
I have a question, kind of related to a debate on earlier pages about death being before or after the Fall. My question is, is physical death even a punishment? ... I wonder if the death God meant all along was spiritual, and Adam and Eve were created to be mortal beings. For, if OEC'ists think tha...

Beyond Belief to Convictions
My dad recently recommended Josh McDowell's Beyond Belief to Convctions , and I've been very impressed so far. It does deal with a lot of evidence for Christianity (i.e., empty tomb speculations, prophecies fulfilled...) which is a lot like his book Evidence that Demands a Verdict . At least, that's...

I have a question, kind of related to a debate on earlier pages about death being before or after the Fall. My question is, is physical death even a punishment? But from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die. Genesis 2:1...

Re: Episcopalianism?!?
The Bible says that if we confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved. (Romans 10:9) That's it. Plain and simple. I think many people do the "confess with your mouth" part by prayer. Prayer is just talking to God....

Re: Existential crisis? I don't even know.
Also, I knew somebody who was put on the local news channel after being miraculously healed. And I mean it was a miracle...no medicine involved, the doctors stumped, etc. Not the "oh, I prayed and the medicine worked" type of story you were complaining of earlier. I know of many, many suc...
Re: 2012
According to the article it does say it could be forgeries, but ends in the idea it is not a forgery and that the end times are near. seems comforting at first (that world may not end) but ends at the fact it could... Looked at other things and looks it is near. So much evil happening. I'm not up t...

Re: Is the present financial crisis a sign of end times?
I don't think it's a sign. All throughout history there are financial ups and downs. I think the world's moral state might be a better indicator of the approaching end times. Of course, like zoegirl mentioned above, we are not to know the time.

Re: going to hell?
Since God is timeless, maybe He could just "zap" (for lack of a better word) us forward to Judgment Day after we die. It would seem instantaneous. I mean, once we leave this world, I don't really think we need to be bound by its time anymore.
Just a theory...

Re: Existential crisis? I don't even know.
If that did happen it would have been huge news..I have never heard about it.. Not necessarily. Today's media is composed of close-minded, one-sided worshippers of a god called Government. There's no way they'd be posting Christian miracles if it meant compromising some of their power. Also, I knew...

Is good "good" because God is good?
I hope I can say this without is sounding like jibberish. So, we all know the saying, "God is good." I've accepted it for years with no problem; it made sense. But lately, after some "deep thinking", I've been confused. Do we think of "good" things (love, joy, peace, et...

Re: Where is Polygamy condemned in the Bible?
Also, if you notice, most of the men in the Bible who had more than one wife also had a lot of grief caused him because of it. God may not have come right out and said, "Only one wife", but the unhappiness it brought its victims is a testimony enough, IMO.
