Re: Did God create others after Adam and Eve?

For the past few days I've been pondering this thought. The Bible never states that God did not create other people after He created Adam and Eve and after the fall, but it never says that it does. Here's where I'm coming from: after Cain kills Able, and is talking to God before he is "marked&...

Re: Cain's journey

Genesis 1 and Genesis 2 are both describing the same creation. Gen 1 is an overview and Gen 2 is more detailed account of man. There was only one creation not two different creations. Obviously, but there are two different accounts of this creation. And the two accounts can also fit in with eachoth...

Re: Cain's journey

Both Genisis 1 and 2 are seperate. They were compiled by different individuals Where on earth did you get that idea? Do you not believe that the Pentateuch was written by Moses? Where on earth did I get that idea? Well I'll try to tell you: probably from one of my companions to the bible some years...

Re: Cain's journey

Maybe a better way to say it is Gen 2 is more detailed description of Gen 1. Gen 1 says God made all creatures and man. Gen 2 says How God made all creatures and man. Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became...

Re: Cain's journey

Let's read Gen 2:7 keeping in mind this is a recap of Gen 1,; What makes you think it is a "recap" of Genesis 1? Genesis 1 is not a pre-run. Genesis 1 simply says "let us make man in our image, in our likeness..." Why do you think Genesis 2 is some sort of re-cap on Genesis 1? M...

Re: Genesis

B.W. and Danny M. I find that quite often Christians differ with each other in the area of interpretation. My purpose for asking questions is to get answers and gain knowledge. Some things I can figure out for myself, somethings require an explanation. I have noted that Christians who differ with e...

Re: Genesis

Isa 44:24 , "Thus says the LORD (Yahweh), your Redeemer, who formed you from the womb: "I am the LORD (Yahweh), who made all things, who alone stretched out the heavens, who spread out the earth by myself..." Jer 10:10-14 , "But the LORD (Yahweh) is the true God (Elohim); he is ...

Re: Genesis

B.W. Please explain to me how any of what what you've presented me with, let alone JER 10: 10-14, refutes a heavenly court? From what you've shown me none of it touches my point. I am not disputing that God alone created everything. I am not even suggesting by his use of the plural that this means h...

Re: Cain's journey

I believe Seth was mentioned as Adam and Eve's first born in chapter 5 because Able was dead and Cain was disowned. We also see a change in the normal language of the Bible. Usually you see so and so begat so and so, then so and so begat so and so, but in Genesis 5:3 And Adam lived an hundred and t...

Re: Genesis

In Genesis, God said the following. "Then God said, "Let us make humans in our image, in our likeness. Let them rule the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the domestic animals all over the earth, and all the animals that crawl on the earth." 27 So God created humans in his image...

Re: Cain's journey

I would just like to add a comment, if you don't mind. Genesis 4:16 And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden. Genesis 4:17 And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, aft...

Re: Cain's journey

No need to apologize at all Danny. It's all good. I am just ecstatic at the fact that some Christians still exist in England. Keep up the good work brother. Nice one, Byblos. I take it you have the impression that England has very few Christians left. Well, not quite, but on a comparative level, yo...
