Re: Dr. Hugh Ross
Jac, I just watched part of the debate on you tube with Ham and Ross. Ham said that belief in animal death before Adam's sin undermines the doctrine of atonement, and undermines the Word of God. When asked by Ankerberg if belief in billions of years means that someone can't be saved, Ham said obvio...

Re: Dr. Hugh Ross
Beyond that, I fully admit that Ham accuses OECs of making God a liar. I have no problem with that any more than I have a problem with OECs saying that YECs make God a liar. I have a problem with anyone who questions another's faith based on YEC or OEC. My Dad had a collection of YEC tapes with Ken...

Re: The First Sinner
I was watching the debate on you tube entitled, "Old Earth vs Young Earth". In 4 Part 3 of 3, Ham, Ross, and Dr. Walter Keiser were talking about animal death before the fall, and if it affects the doctrine of atonement. Each speaker gave a closing remark. Dr. Walter Keiser said, "Ada...

Re: Has anyone else had this 'experience'?
catherine, I've been to a few churches where this is common. One time there were people falling in the aisles and flopping around like fish out of water. I don't know what your experience was specifically, but could be anything from you in the flesh trying to fit in with their practices, to maybe, a...

Re: When were you saved?
I'm thinking maybe those who want to make tongues now the sign of salvation (despite the fact that Acts 2, 8, 9, 10 and 19 speak of the Holy Spirit coming on people and only 3 of the 5 mention tongues so are we to conclude that the 2 where that is not mentioned are not real) should jump on the thre...

Re: Dr. Hugh Ross
Danny, I'm interested in why you think death by cancer is evil. Would you be so kind as to share that with me? :D I'm not looking for an argument, just curious because my Dad had cholangiocarcinoma(bile duct cancer) when he died in Sept. Hey Rick, I think it's an evil and tragic way to die. My nan ...

Re: When were you saved?
Tallman, From what I've been told, read, and listened to, I am already saved. I didn't completely understand what you said in your other post .... If you have any insights, then by all means, please help me. There is nothing more important to me than God and spending eternity in Heaven. Thanks! Hel...

The First Sinner
Hi Everyone, I've been reading through some topics, and have become interested in different beliefs or interpretations on the affect of the first sinner. I would like to hear your reasoning on how Lucifer's fall is connected ultimately to God's plan of redemption for mankind. I don't hear much about...

Re: Does the forum believe in the rapture??
My background is Premillenial and PreTrib. The denomination I ministered in for many years required a Premillenial view because they tied their focus on missions into the belief that world missions and completing the great commission was what would precede the return of Christ. The denomination did...
