Re: Health care reform - how does that play into being pro-life?
Danny, What polls are you referring to? I only responded to a poll in Texasmomof3"s post about believing in "God". If you have a poll that asks specifically if someone believes in the Gospel of the Bible and justification by faith alone, then show me those polls. Otherwise, like I sa...

Re: Health care reform - how does that play into being pro-life?
Danny, you keep saying that America is a Christian nation, but you won't say specifically what makes it so. Please tell me SPECIFICALLY why you believe America to be a Christian nation by your definition. Thanks

Re: Health care reform - how does that play into being pro-life?
Danny, what specific "population's beliefs" do you mean? When I speak of "Christian", I mean the true church of God(all born-again believers) not some generic meaning of christian. Please tell me why you believe the US is a Christian nation. Please give specific answers. Thanks ...

Re: Health care reform - how does that play into being pro-life?
No Danny. All I'm saying is that just because the US was founded upon some Judeo-Christian principles, it doesn't mean it's a Christian nation. Our leader/spokesman, has no problem with the murder of innocent human beings, and possibly the majority of Americans also believe as he does. That alone s...

Re: Health care reform - how does that play into being pro-life?
Texasmomof3, I never said that our nation was founded to get away from Christian principles. I said, part of the reason it was founded was to get away from the "christian" nation that our founders left. Notice I said "christian" with a small "c". The Country our foundi...

Re: Health care reform - how does that play into being pro-life?
To clarify, my Mom lives in California, and that is where I was born and raised. And I'm sorry, Rick, but you are wrong. The United States has always been considered a Judeo-Christian country, and we regularly rank at the top of countries with the most believers in God. I believe that is why we are...

Re: Dr. Hugh Ross
Jac, correct me if I'm wrong. What you are saying, is that God created light in transit so we could see that light. Because if the universe is young, the light from a star that appears, for example 168,000 light years away would never been seen unless it was created in transit? So, any light that ap...

Re: NIS-4: Children do best with married biological parents
It means that Jac's post titled, "Children do best with married biological parents," ought to be as obvious to our world as the fact that water is wet. Sadly it isn't. Jlay, YOU know it. I know it. The trouble is that (in the case of the United Kingdom) government IGNORES it. I don't know...

Re: Health care reform - how does that play into being pro-life?
It is a country founded on Christian principles. So yes I would class America as a "Christian" country. Have you ever lived in America? I wouldn't classify it as a Christian country. A country where we are free to worship as Christians. A country where people are free to not worship as Ch...

Re: Dr. Hugh Ross
Jac, do you know of any YECs who believe in "the appearance of age"? The reason I ask is because in the debate with Ross and Jason Lisle, the question was asked to Lisle about why he thinks there is an appearance of old age(billions of years). Lisle went on to say that he thinks that the E...

Re: Dr. Hugh Ross
I wonder if there are any prominent OECs who say "the god of a young earth cannot be the God of the Bible". or "There's no doubt-the god of a young earth destroys the Gospel". None that I'm aware of. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!? How about what I JUST QUOTED in this thread?!? the clai...

Re: Jesus and God
I'm not trying to create a debate here, but I am a little confused. My heart tells me that God became flesh in the person of Jesus, but when the Bible has Jesus referring to God as a third person, it kind of contradicts my belief. I am a father, and a son, and at one time a husband. I have often re...

Re: Health care reform - how does that play into being pro-life?
It solves a lot of problems though - the NHS means that anyone suffering from Cancer can get treatment. Ok there are some issues that might involve travelling, and there are waiting lists - but everyone can get treatment. People who are richer can go private anyway to avoid some of the NHS pitfalls...

Re: Dr. Hugh Ross
I will make one addendum to what I wrote earlier. The article by Ken Ham in which he makes the comments I quoted and conjectured might have been taken down, in fact was not. Here it is on the AIG site. Apparently the link I had previously was either changed, or I attempted incorrectly. http://www.a...

Re: Dr. Hugh Ross
I think it had something to do with one of Ross' books. Maybe A Matter of Days. Go to Reasons.org, and under search, type chuck smith. If that is the same Chuck Smith. It lists Chuck Smith Jr. This would be what I would have expected. Chuck Smith Jr. had his Calvary Chapel status revoked. Too many ...
