Logic suggests that you cant have eternity in this time line anyway because how would you get to the present if you have to transgress an infinite number of days to get here - which means - you would never get here. The same applies for an infinte number of universes as well. They would all have to ...

The way I see it was that Adam (Man) was given the job of naming all the animals - and we have done that, and are still doing that today. God didn't say that he wanted it all done by a week on Tuesday

Oh dear. Donkey - you have come here and made some very tenuous statements with absolutely no backup up whatsoever. What is your point - that you have an opinion? - Fine. Unless you want to have a serious discussion - then keep it to yourself. (I apologise to the moderators of this board - but this ...

She will be in my prayers Swamper. With had a youth minister at our church that did such wonderful work with out children - but when he finished his theology degree, he went away and lost his faith. He now thinks Christianity is a joke. I think because he was brought up through church he never exper...

Re: A teachers plea

This may sound very selfish and I am very sorry if it is - but i was wondering if you could remember teachers in your prayers from time to time. I personally am finding it increasing difficult to deal with the children in my school - and this is suppose to be a good one. I am finding it hard to see...

The word atheism sounds negative; let me call it rationalism. It is a rational view of the world where you stand up proudly, in your humanity, you look life straight in the face, you look the universe straight in the face, you do your level best to understand it, to understand why you exist, what t...

Re: Brain

Hello, I was raised a Catholic and I've always believed in God very strongly. I have always attributed most of my faith based on the spiritual experiences I have had. However, I read a website that asserted that the spiritual experience & God are nothing more than an evolutionary brain mechanis...

Re: Believe in God or go to Hell attitude - all wrong

If I was a God, the last thing I would want is to frighten people into believing in me by saying that the alternative is this bad place called Hell. it's like paying someone to like you etc. I don't believe in God because I see no proof, only reasons not to believe. There being a God makes no sense...

Thanks for those links. It worries and saddens me that now this book - which is already number 1 on the Amazon top 10 list - is another example of the what I call the "Da Vinci" syndrome where anything that is mocking God is a best seller. Do Christians have themselves to blame for this wi...
