I am back, I wanted to update you all.

Hello my friends. It's been awhile, I don't know if you remember me, but this site was my first taste for Christian apologetics. Then came Reasons to Believe (reasons.org). I have read books, articles, spent countless hours and days of reflection, and I feel that I just won't ever find enough proof ...

Re: The History of the Bible.

This is something I found on William L Craig's website in his Q & A section. Someone asks a very similar question and tries to say that the Israelites were polytheistic and later became monotheistic. Here is this persons response. When I receive an interesting question in an area outside my spec...

Re: The historical evidence for Christ

I just don't understand why someone would not want to find God or be open to it. What is the appeal of fighting so hard for a world view that all feelings, morals, ect are illusory? True... What's the appeal for not fighting for these things? Mark 12:31 Luke 6:35 Luke 10:27 John 15:13 John 15:17 Ma...

Re: Harder than I thought..

I guess it's not the fact that I can not be a Christian if I can't overcome sin, I just have a hard time wondering if for example I were having sex with someone, and I thought of what God would think, and then just ignored it and did my thing. Then later on said I was sorry, then continued the same ...

Re: Harder than I thought..

Why do lost people miss this? Wake up man. While you are now in your sin, Jesus Christ died for you. The bible doesn't say, stop sinning, clean up your life, and then maybe if you are lucky, Jesus will die for your sins. He already did it. It's done. Finished. I cannot become a Christian and then *...

Re: I have a quick question about ancient humans

I found this in Acts 17: 29 "Therefore since we are God's offspring, we should not think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone—an image made by man's design and skill. 30: In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent." That ...

Harder than I thought..

In my previous posts, I said that if I were to come to the conclusion God and Jesus were one in the same and Christianity were true, I could give up my lust easily. I said that too soon. I actually have realized, that this might be the biggest wall to my coming to Christ. I am *very* lustful, more s...

Re: I have a quick question about ancient humans

Thanks B.W., this would make the most sense to me if it is how it all really happened. I just wonder what happened to those who lost the true God in their culture. I assume they'd be saved as they wouldn't have had a way to know the truth.

Re: I have a quick question about ancient humans

Religions have been distorted, forged or misinterpreted since man could think. It is entirely possible that when people spread out over the world, members of the new individual communities sought power through distorting religion or recreating it. Not to mention that during the times that God didn'...

Re: I have a quick question about ancient humans

Yes, I'm aware of that. But what I'm saying is how come Hindu came about if the truth of God was established first?

Re: I have a quick question about ancient humans

To me, it wouldn't make sense that the first signs of religion would not hint at the God of Judaism. Because if it isn't, I have to conclude that Judaism was something made up over time, which has a domino effect down to Christianity and invalidates it all. From a young earth viewpoint this would be...
