Re: Objective Morality?
The resurrection does not prove Christianity to be true, it proves that resurrection is possible. Jesus rising from the dead does not prove that the Bible is the word of God. It proves that someone lived after death. And the argument goes that God raising Jesus from the dead is the best explanation...

Re: Question about god and science?
but it does not prove that the cause is God. Well, of course, he goes on to include that God seems to be the best explanation for the beginning of the universe. I do believe he has touched down on the rest of your objections, though I'm not sure. I'm still researching this myself, so I'm in no posi...

Re: Question about god and science?
Just an honest question, why does the multiverse need to have had a cause? WLC argues that, in-order to be uncaused, a thing needs to exist necessarily. That is to say, it must be impossible for it not to exist. In response to the question, "Why can't the universe be uncaused, and exist necess...

Re: Liberals?
I, personally, am sick of all these political labels. It seems to me to cause some people to fight for the side they're a part of, even in cases they don't entirely agree. I see people as people, not liberal or conservative.
Didn't Mr. Washington warn against political parties to begin with?

Re: Objective Morality?
Being clearly convinced that your life has God given value and that objective wrongs are done to you and others is not proof to me that there is a celestial valuer and moral judge. Clearly seeing the objective wrong being done to your inherently valuable life is more self absorption than divine obj...

Harold Camping, he owns Family Radio or something like that.
But yeah, it's sad. I wish people would heed the Bible's own advice and STOP TRYING TO GUESS THE DATE OF THE END OF THE WORLD. It just makes us all look stupid and moronic, from the atheist's point of view.

Re: Natural Evil
It's not about possible worlds, but plausible worlds. In other words, worlds that are plausible for God to create. I believe that the world which God enacted is the world which best fulfills God's will, morally and all. So it comes down to this: the world in which we live was the optimal world for G...

My faith is in Jesus, not Camping. He'll come back when he comes back, and that's the end of it for me.
I wouldn't worry about it. Though, I hope you get answers for your questions!

Re: Deterministic freewill, doctrine of hell, and God's natu
I myself don't agree with soft-determinism (compatibilism). The way I see it, either you are causally determined to do something or you are not. I've entertained both sides of the argument quite a lot, and it's a really tough choice (or not, for you determinists out there) to decide which makes more...

Re: Slavery and Bible
I think it's a common misconception that slavery is always a bad thing. That isn't necessarily true, does not the Bible command us to be servants?
Mark 9:35, Luke 22:26-27, etc.
But, you seem to have covered this in your write up, Neo. Great job!

Re: The Trevor Project "It Gets Better" Gay Campaign
I don't feel any differently towards homosexuals than heterosexuals. The act of homosexuality is the sin, and anyone can commit it regardless of their sexuality.
