Re: Something that really bothers me about theology
Hello everyone, I'm very troubled not only by all the confusion and different interpretations of everything relating to God and to Christianity. Whether it be in theology, or with church denominations, or even in apologetics. And the fact that so much confusion and so many interpretations exist in ...

Re: Lie
Is desperation an excuse even tho you are knowingly lying ( sinning) ? I know i sound like badguy right now but i really want to find a firm answer y:-? I think a firm answer would be based on you conviction. Some poeple are convicted, moved, compelled, or led (by the Holy Spirit) differently. :ewi...

Re: Lie
With what I have said above, let me also say this. It is natural to justify our sins and shortcomings with a reason or excuse. Just don't make a practise out of this type of lifestyle. There is no excuse for sinning knowingly.

Re: Lie
°what if people tell a lie to save some one from physical and emotional pain...or death? John 13:38 Jesus answered, “Will you lay down your life for Me? Truly, truly, I say to you, a rooster will not crow until you deny Me three times . Jesus told Peter that Peter was going to lie three times. John...

Re: John the Baptist's Bones Discovered?
Okay but seriously, what is the deal with people trying to say they have the bones of "such and such"? I mean this whole thing with the tomb of Jesus was obviously an attempt to prove Christianity wrong, so what is this? Hey Gab, Although I subscribe to apologetics, I almost find the deba...

Re: Hawking - God did not create the universe
"Because there is a law such as gravity, the universe can and will create itself from nothing. Spontaneous creation is the reason there is something rather than nothing, why the universe exists, why we exist," Hawking writes. "It is not necessary to invoke God to light the blue touch...

Re: Would god approve of apologetics?
My only point, albeit quickly typed off, was referring back to the Original question of whether GOd would approve of apologetics...in revealing to Thomas his wounds, was He showing approval or disapproval? I would say He was willing to give HIs approval to investigation while affirming those who be...

Re: Would god approve of apologetics?
Hey Ben, Apologetics comes from the Greek word apologia, whick means a defense, as in a court of law. Christian apologetics involves making a case for the truth of the Christian faith. William Lane Craig says, "The Bible actually commands us to have such a case ready to give to any unbeliever w...

Re: What needs to be done in order to be saved
I think B.W. pointed out that my interpretation of this specifically is off, considering the online explanations. However this still leaves the question about Jesus having gone to paradise that day. So either Christ was affirming the thief's salvation as being on that very day, or they would meet i...

Re: What needs to be done in order to be saved
the legs of the thiefs were broken as they were taken off the cross in order to "keep" the Sabbath, so the thief didn't even die THAT day. y:-/ Hey Bav, I didn't know this. Why were the thiefs legs broken as they were taken off the cross? Also, how is it that they didn't die that day? Jus...
