Re: I think God made a mistake or he's insane

Ní«j I haven't changed no-ones quote here, that's my neighbour who is actually has a proper degree in theological stuff. What i say is, if you want to finish with your conclusion with how it is accurate that is fine...But it isn't okí«j to begin with a conclusion and work from there. So if they atta...

Re: I think God made a mistake or he's insane

So my point was is that there doesn't have to be a real Adam. that was it. (p.s.it was my neighbour who told me it was "just a storey" and a "full of metaphorical statements") If you think I need to read Up on the basics, then what better place to turn than your Holy Library(bibl...

Re: Christian Biography: Scientists and Science Philosopher

I think that you have made a good start. Although I think a paragraph each of extra in depth information would be wonderful, there is plenty of good facts about Leonardo dí¥ vinci that you could include, ja? Like that he designed a buetiful suspension bridge that was made centuries after he lived an...

Re: I think God made a mistake or he's insane

If Adam is a Metaphor for "every man", then we are still just all sinners. ;)

Even as just a story, it can still be a story with truth. Its just about the one and only old bible book story that I have read, other than king Salomon(and his many wives)

Re: Situational Ethics or Tickbox ethics?

Are you sure that's not "croquet" the game with hammers because I play that. It can get very unfair

Anyway, this is sort of a situation? I mean this is a sort of example of a time when its ok to be a little bit in error, for fun

Re: YEC, OEC? How'd you get there?

If they are ages, are they ever translated to specifically be called an ages. Is that for literary reasons? Tradition perhaps? I mean a OEC position is sort of reasonable if it correlates to the facts, which be that the world is very, very old and evolution is how we got here. I guess one of the imp...

Re: The Bible is light years ahead of science

Oh it might have something to do with how Jewish people can not say the name of their god, so they use substitute names.(wikipedia is good friend!) Perhaps I can twist it around: Science is light years ahead of the bible. Maybe. If a thousand years can be a day, why not a billion years? pl...

Re: I think God made a mistake or he's insane

I haven't made my mind up, but you seem to want to make it up for me. :crying: I have read the forum guidelines and purpose twice, maybe a third time will help? :) I don't consider it a ridicule to call something a myth, lots of the myths of Norse gods that I know of are very exciting tales, don't y...

Re: I think God made a mistake or he's insane

Aren't you guys just taking a myth a little to literally? I am fine with Jesus, but this garden story... come on it would be easier to accept it as a buetiful poetical story rather than a 100% fact.

Why all this arguing :crying:
